  Staff were friendly and helpful even though we spoke no Portuguese. The hotel is organised very well, very clean and safe. We went for Carnaval, it was the perfect location for transportation links or walking to the many parties. The air conditioning is perfect. - Value for money in Rio, WiFi always worked in my room, Breakfast was good and delivered to my room. Around the corner from Rio Scenarium, an excellent nightclub with live bands. The Rio Metro is within walking distance and can take you anywhere for less than US$2.

  Helpful English speaking guy at the reception, good transportation to the center, good breakfast comparing with the similar standard hotels in Brasil - The English speaking guy Gabriel was a life saver as we couldn't have got anything done without him to translate, I think he might have just been there for Carnaval though. Breakfast was a bit chaotic but there was really good coffee and amazing fresh juices.

  The price was great, stores in the area was wonderful, close to the Madureira Subway train station (4km). Lots of Hot water was great, bed and shower was large.
