  The staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English. When we arrived at ilha grande we were immediately picked up by boat to go to the hotel. Although it rained a lot during our stay, the view and the excellent cooking made our stay one to remember for a long time - Bar and restaurant area overlooking the bay (amazing location to have drinks &am... hva folk sier » p; food). Excellent service with English speaking staff. Large rooms with views. As it is out if the main town it is very quiet and relaxing.

  Pousada Riacho Dos Cambucas was amazing! I can not say enough great things about them. Very helpful and nice staff who spoke perfect english. Great room with private bathroom and ac. Delicious breakfast each morning. One night the island lost power and our Pousada still had power! You must stay here when traveling to Ilha Grande! - Friendly staff... hva folk sier » . Comfortable air conditioned room with hammock on the balcony. Cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. Shower with hot water. Lovely breakfast with nice choice fruit, juice, yoghurt, several breads, cheese, cooked meats, jams, cakes, herbal teas and coffee etc. Very nice afternoon coffee and cakes.

  The location and the lodge are absolutely incredible. It is one of the greatest places we have been.The service and the hosts are imazing. There is nothing to add...it was just perfect. - Great location Staffs were friendly and helpful, the owner, Rodolfo was fantastic and lovely. Food was nice Quiet and peaceful

  Ideal location, walking distance to village, but very private and secluded. Mere steps from small beach. Private boat to pick you and your bags up from main dock. Each room has veranda with hammock - lovely to sit and listen to the waves. Front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. Even have beach towels you can borrow. Fresh, varied bre... hva folk sier » akfast. Will go back again and again! - We had a wonderful stay at Sagu and the host, Jean Louis, and all the staff really looked after us. We were with another family and between us we had two toddlers. Our children were made to feel very welcome and the chef's made child friendly meals which we really appreciated. The bungalows had gorgeous beach and garden views and overall our stay was excellent.

  This Pousada was the highlight of our trip to Brazil. Located on a lovely beach (we had it to ourselves for 2 days) the rooms all overlook the beautiful bay and have hammocks to laze around in. They are clean and comfortable. It is away from the main town and although more expensive than some Pousadas, this includes free transfers to the island... hva folk sier » , free transfers between their Pousada and Abraao, dinner and breakfast and free use of kayaks. The last free boat to the Pousada from Abraao is 5pm. - It was like paradise. the pousade is located in a private bay at the seaside with private beach. food was excellent. Staff especially Dominique the cook and caretaker was very nice. She speaks very well english and made us feel really welcome. Her food was delicious.

  The Aratinga Inn was a fantastic choice! Rennie and her staff are wonderful and so helpful. She helped us figure out the best activities to do on the island, and provided such wonderful breakfasts each morning. Afternoon tea/coffee time was tasty too! My husband and I loved that it was a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the beach, so that we coul... hva folk sier » d walk off the giant dinners each night! And it's just far away enough that it's incredibly quiet and makes it easy to fall asleep! Definitely staying - I really liked my time at Aratinga Inn, everything was perfect. They have great staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast is very good with a variety of breads and hot dishes each day and also a big selection of teas. Also, one of my favorite thing about Aratinga Inn is the tea time, that is served in the afternoon (4-6pm) with cake, bread and also a delicious soup. Last but not least , the owner is a really nice person that gives great suggestions of activities and where to eat on the island.
