I found the staf friendly and helpful. I found the building very cosy and I liked its narrow stairways and corridors. The place has character, in keeping with the "Olde Worlde" character of the city itself. The pub/restaurant area had a nice atmosphere, a great place for winding down with a few beers after a strenuous day of sightseeing. I would definitely come back to the Charlie Rockets hostel.

How close it is to the square. crowded bar. First of all the kocation of the hostel is very good. You can go to the market place in 5 min. and to the gar station in 20 min. by walk. Also the hostel's prices are considerable cheap. Location. Centre is just 5 min walks from there. Also the bar in the entrance floor if you want to drink something. The hostel is in the city centre, two minutes walk from the burg. On the first floor there is a pub always open. The awesome atmosphere of the palce, very rich in personality. super location. few minutes to the central square. Location staff and atmosphere. Location and good value. Well situated. I think the facilities were a little lacking - not enough showers, wash basins and toilets for so many people, at least on the floor on which I was staying. The locks were a bit funny. It takes a while to get used to them. It does get a bit noisy in the evening. Didn't bother me though. beds too soft for us. poor shower. The beds are not comfortable. You have to go to your room in front of the bar and you can hear a lot of noise from the bar. Toilets. The room was small. Just stay one day and leave the town.(Altough brugge is nice city, 1 day is completely enough for travelling). I booked a room with private bathroom, but there was not in my room, there was only a sink. Poor breakfast. The "pub crawling" evening was a total scam. Not worth 15 euro. bar at the 1st floor opened till 4am and very noisy. room facilities are poor, esp bathroom. The horrible stench by the toilets and the stains on the bed. Noisy, bar open very late, so if you want quiet, I don't recommend it, but it is a fun location for young people to stay up all night in an otherwise quiet town at night. Noisy, not comfortable at all, very stinky and dirty.
