helpful staff, convenient location re public transport - The attitude and personalities of the staff, both at the front desk and in the bar was fantastic. They took an interest in who we were and where we were from and nothing was too much trouble for them.

All staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. This includes everyone from the cleaners to the kitchen staff and the two staff manning reception.
They smiled and greeted guests like they meant it.

- Close to the Metro (U-Bahn) station (some 200-300 meters), so a little bit shady neighborhood is not a big deal

Absolutely LOVED this hotel!!! The hotel was extremely conveniently located with the Opera House in the next street across, as was the Metro and trams and the main mall and there is a supermarket across another street. (We took the Metro to the CAT (City Airport Transport) station very easily with suitcases where we checked them in before boarding for the airport.) The staff were very nice and always helpful. The rooms were very clean and had great soundproofing.

Overall, an almost excellent stay.

I spent a week in Vienna in November with my adult daughter and had a
wonderful stay at the Sans Souci. The staff was terrific. They welcomed
us warmly, patiently answered our many questions, and overall made our
stay very pleasant. The intimacy of the hotel appealed to us, and the
location was great. We walked to almost everything, and the u-bahn and
tram were at the doorstep for anyplace else. There are restaurants
nearby; we ate at the hotel-recommended Cafe Biedermeier twice, in fact.
