  The hotel is lovely and decorated with many interesting pieces of art. The breakfast was excellant with very high quality food. The location is very good and within walking distance to the museums, the Hofburg and old town section. Two U-Bahn stops are also close by. The staff was helpful and very pleasant.   Of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip to Krakow, Salzburg and Vienna, the Hotel Savoy Garni was our absolutely our favorite! The women behind the front desk when we checked in was warm, friendly, enthusiastic, and graciously answered all of our questions. The underground and city map the - Location was fabulous, a few minutes walk from the museum quarter, 15mins or so to st stephens catherdral and the shopping streets, underground only a few minutes walk, supermarket across the street, cafe and restaurants galore. Street is parallel to a street with more shoes, handbags and clothing stores you could wish for, staff very obliging all in all a great hotel.

  This was the best place we stayed in out 23 hotel European tour and was one of the cheapest. This hotel is a couple of very large private apartments an d you have your own large room and ensuite. Helpful owner - This is very kitchish, like staying at your grandma's place. Each of the 14 rooms is appointed differently. So a fun place to stay. Plus the staff is always very, very helpful. The breakfast is hot and cold and cooked right there, it changes every day too. And of course, you are a two minute walk from the museum and Hofburg area.

  Good location close to the Museum Quarter and walking distance to the Opera House. Quiet. Very cheap for a single room with shower and basin but no toilet. Staff friendly and efficient. Free wifi in room. Hotel close to Burgstheater underground station and various tram/bus lines. Vienna generally is amazing. Beautiful architecture. English widely spoken. - Room was totally fine, big enough and shared bathroom access was not a problem for the 4 nights I was there. An exceptionally good price made any minor bother ok. Excellent neighborhood to explore and close enough to the 1st district to walk. Try the City Bike bike sharing located a few blocks away at the Rathaus. Only 1 euro then unlimited 1 hour trips!
