I couldn't fault the Charbonnier. It was very clean, friendly staff, and the facilities were great. I was surprised that there were negative comments on the reviews. I have nothing negative to say at all. The gorgous rooms & comfort. The availibilty of room services & the other meal options - Crib Packs. Facilities in the room. Friendly & helpful staff ;-). Lovely garden area to relax in including swimming pool. Staff very friendly and hotel restaurant or room service available if you just want to stay in.
alle vurderinger » the ambiance of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and although time did not permit the outside facilities like pool etc looked great. 24 hour service The chef knocked at our door in the morning to see if we wanted to order breakfast. Room was a good size. They were responsive to my requests and also provided additional benefits which I hadn't expected. The facilities were excellent. We especially enjoyed a game of tennis then relaxing in the spa. affordable for a family, tify clean & friendly. Being able to park our truck in site. Location and condition of hotel. the staff were friendly, the room was nice. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The view out back was into the garden and very pleasant. They lent us tennis racquets (although of dismal quality) for the poorly maintained tennis court out back. The man at check-in was very friendly. Staff polite . No Free Wi Fi. Breakfast is expensive. All the workmen drinking beer in the corridor leading to our room. All of their doors opened while they were changing. We were very disappointed the restaurant wasnt open. We were there on Saturday night a.nd thought that woudve been one of the busiest nights. I think it would be a good ides to have a little play area for children. Resterant not open and no room service available on night of stay. Booking for breakfast was accepted but upon arrival was told as there were not enough guests staying at the hotel NO BREAKFAST WAS AVAILABLE. If aware of this at time of booking we would have looked for different accomodation. I booked at Charbonnier especially because it had a restaurant. On arrival I was told the restaurant was not open on weekends. It was not mentioned on the website or I wouldn't have gone there. My business commitments made it impossible to book in to somewhere else so I was forced to eat mc donalds and pizza after a long intensive 2 days.NOT HAPPY!!!!! I needed a nice meal and a glass of wine to relax not to go foraging in the dark at 7.30pm on my own. The facilities were not up to par for the money spent. The hotel was further from wine country than expected. The A/C was terribly loud so could not be used and the mini fridge was so noisy that we had to unplug it at night. They had a water tank that was empty and when we alerted the lady at the reception desk, she could care less. Fridge noisy, Air conditioning could not be used as condenser motor had a loud rattle in it, bathroom dirty, I am sure the bed had bed mite, still scratching a day later, signage for motel didn't exist, had to rely on street number. restaurant wasn't open.
