Location was great, within essy walking distance of the city, shops, and an abundance of cafes and restaurants, as well as both the City Baths and Carlton Baths, both of which have gyms as well. The room was compact but very comfortable, and the sliding door onto the little balcony gave me access to fresh air and a breeze (I hate air conditioning). My room was also very quiet, although I imagine the rooms above Lygon St - whilst offering more interesting views - would be very noisy. Staff were .
alle vurderinger » Everything, the location, the room it was super clean!~.. the comfort level was superb.. we didnt get the street side view of Lygon street, but that didnt matter as it was really quiet at night made for a comfort sleep !.. The carpark is very secure and underground. I have already again booked the room for my next stay in a few days time and i am thinking this is where i will be staying again and again when in town!.. The hotel was easy to find (we were in a hire car and I don't know Melbourne very well!) . Staff directed us to parking and had a room key ready for us, which was great as it was late. The room was comfortable and well equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom with rain head shower and flat screen tv. The hotel is located just across the road from some excellent restaurants where we went for breakfast. The location is excellent, situated in the centre of a diner's paradise ...why travel to Europe? Close to city venues with transport options close by, and off road parking. Unpretentious (not overstated) with efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. There was a very loud argument between a few men at the property next door at just before 5am. It woke us both up. There was a lot of very foul language. But I don't think there is much the hotel could have done in this regard. Not being able to stay a few more nights!. I dont think the heater worked too well, cos i was cold.. the room was a bit small for the asking price.. I had a bit of trouble sussing out how to work the heating , seemed easy to get air con mode but not heating. We worked it out then went out , came back later could not get heating on at all. I liked all of it it's the perfect place to hang out. unit in need of maintenance ... Unable to fault any aspect of our stay. Our room was obviously part of a family suite because it had an adjoining door to the next room. Unfortunately this meant we could hear voices etc. through the door. I was a little bit hard to find as restaurant umbrellas and trees obscured the sign from the direction I came from. Television a bit too small for the size of the room. The balcony view was a concrete wall. No hot water at night. Our room was near lift so was a little noisy. Just one thing The lights were much too dim We were in 312 I know we are in the older class ....but I think there should be a choice of brighter lighting if needed But overall ....we would stay there again if this could be adjusted. The hot water took a long time to get hot, too much water was wasted while running the tap waiting for it to come through. car park availability. Nothing of relevance. Lack of secure parking. First come, first served. Balcony which accessed three cement walls and the roof of the level below. Would be much more welcoming with mural on wall and/or plants on balcony. However, I didn't comment on it during my stay so they didn't get an opportunity to address this matter. no dislikes.
