We arrived after check-in time and found that the room had been warmed up us. The decorations and furniture were fitting to the style of the room and the amenities very clean.
Breakfast next morning was a full cooked breakfast.
Staff were very friendly, were more than willing to show us around the old building and to tell us about its history.
They were helpful in making suggestions as to where we could go to visit and knew a lot about the area.

This establishment is quite intimate with only 5 suites, all well appointed. Unfortunately due to our late booking we were placed in the smallest room adjacent to the office. Next time we will sprcifically book the four poster bed at the front. Breakfast is filling and basic.
We were made to feel very welcome by the very friendly staff even though we arrived late due to traffic. We couldn't fault the stay in any way.
Lovely atmosphere and nothing a problem for the staff to help with; great breakfast and good bed and facilities.
Kept the original features of the building while still having the mod-cons.

No real issues from us.

TV in the room was too small to watch from the bed and there wasn't a comfortable chair (lounge) to sit on.
Foot paths.
not much going on around hotel (no really their fault I know). Room that we got was a little small (my wife chose it mind you!). Price is on par with hunter valley stays, but given it is in an average town, I thought the price a bit steep.
