Excellent central location, comfortable rooms, with a window that could be opened. Beds were comfortable and clean, with no cigarette smells. Option for private parking is very good. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely old style building. The apartment was very well designed and very quiet. It was central to everything and we could walk to all the city attractions. The staff were so helpful at all times. It was a pleasure to stay at the Grand Mecure.
alle vurderinger » We got a great price on a King room, with an excellent breakfast included. The hotel was also happy to offer a late check out at no extra cost. We liked the feeling of the old world charm, even though it had been modernised. The buffet breakfast was also impressive. Staff were helpful and friendly, room are large with good bathrooms. The rooms were cleaned well each day. Recently referbishied, Roomy, Clean, User friendly design, Very Comfortable, Staff 10 out of 10. Clean stylish rooms, central location, attentive staff. Not happy we thought through your advertisements that we would have these basics at least.Dont normally complain but in this instance we had to.We eould not use again or recommend to our friends or relatives. I liked the outlook to Mt Wellington however needed to rearrange furniture to take advantage of the outlook or I was looking directly into other rooms. Altogether a very poor experience. Long walks to room even after booking day, needs back secured second entry. Confusion on lift security card operation. The bathroom a bit cramped with not enough shelf/storage space. The TV fuzzy on most channels, only free-to-air channels. Room Internet connectivity prices ridiculously expensive (which century are we in?). Hotel had booking recorded incorrectly as not including breakfast but managed to get it sorted eventually. We didn't particularly like the gentleman on reception when we arrived (19/3/13 at approx 8.30pm) to get any information from him was like pulling teeth. Put us on the backfoot immediately was not very welcoming. It was like we were too much bother for him!!. Charges for internet were too high. Bedrooms had no aspect.Glasses were very large and heavy.there were not enough utensils eg bread knife or cooking equipment.It is an apartment and the meals were not budget. lack of car parking space on arrival. Nothing. Front entrance would benefit from a no push/pull door. no area to park while booking in, a major problem for first impression. fire alarm went off at 9pm for a long time. we were not given any information what was happening or any feedback. do you do a roll call? We would like to think with the change of hands these problems will be rectified. Having to check out by 10AM. Come on Tassie...Sunday morninh...checkout times just about all over the world are at least by midday. Coffee from the espresso machine, Tasted weird. Like powdered milk or something. No dislikes. Sensor light in bathroom didn't stay on for long enough. see opposite-only really liked location. Although this room was newly decorated the shower was hanging off the wall and water went all over the bathroom which can be slippery. Must be a nightmare for cleaning staff and would cause damage over time. The room was badly laid out. I had to rearrange the furniture to take advantage of the outlook and so that I wasn"t looking directly into other apartments thru the window. blocked bath(ADISED CLAENERS),key card failure regurlarly,b/fast too expensive,no dinner in resturant only at charcoal,.
