Excellent location to begin with....Steve (resident manager) & Tracey , true hoteliers I must say!! Very friendly.. Relaxed..& helpful!! .... The Resort was clean ..spacious and flora through out in abundance ... Very tropical feeling!! ... In short ... We loved it & will be back soon!!! In three months.. Keep up with the good work & don't lose your smiles!! Goes along way!!! Cheers.
alle vurderinger » We had a really great stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and gave us great tips of what to go and see. Location was in short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. Grounds had great pool and our family room was perfect for our two children who asked to come back again. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others!. Everything - the staff were great, room great (no previous guest lingering smells as often encountered over the years), bar and kitchen staff very friendly and gracious. The bedding and bathroom manchester was a lovely BRIGHT WHITE unlike the usual motel/resort linen and towelling which unless brand spanking new is an awful grey white. I loved the fact that the people that run the place tried to treat me and my children as if we where family, plus it's close to the beach and cowed town centre I couldn't say a bad word and we are going back in September. I was impressed with the staff at the office. Very friendly and helpful, and provided info about the areas and things to do. Lovely hotel 2 bedroom unit. Clean and tidy. Definitely will be back for summer holiday. Good location, great staff, clean and good sized accomodation. Would recommend to others but would advise don't book a ground floor room, if no upper storey rooms are availible then go somewhere else. only 500 meters to the beach and 600 to the main shopping strip of cowes yet it was so remote lovely staff lovely rooms bathroom had just had a make over. would stay there again and recommend it. Position, room size and access to a verandah. Even though there were lots of caravans and hence children they were polite and very happy playing together which was great. Friendly staff! Location is great, very near the ocean. Hot spring is fantastic! The cooking utensils are clean and brand new, which provide us much convenience. Large room with a great in-room spa. A quiet setting close to the town and water. A quiet personal area outside of the room with a nice large table and bench. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We had dinner on site which was excellent and we got value for money. Excellent location, very friendly staff, very homely and the views and the wildlife within walking distance are fantastic!. A beautiful setting with magnificent rooms. Just like being out in the bush waking up listening to the birds singing. The room was quite comfortable as was the location. Was very impressed with the cleanliness of the amenities. Nice room for a 4 members family. The hostess Eva (sorry if is not written this way) is very friendly. Ideal location walking distance to Cowes and the beach. Very clean and felt safe for our 2 year old. The spa bath in our room was very relaxing. The lady at check in was really friendly and welcoming. Location is excellent. The best restaurant in town. Has basic facilities and with beach access. Eventually we received the room we paid for that was originally promised, Tracy, Lynne & others were empathetic and helpfull. Close to main street nice pool. soft bed, good renovation. Close to everything. Spa and heated pool. closeness to sea. Near the beach. Ground level. Helpful staff. For a tall couple the bed was a little small, however not a big deal. Only one remark . For a 2 bedroom unit there was only a two seater couch and one single chair. We were 4 adults so there were not enough sitting spaces in the living room. There were 4 dinner chairs so we had to take turns on sitting on the couch. Maybe better to have 2 x two seater couches. Just a suggestion. Thanks. We where on the ground floor and where constantly disturbed by people 'bouncing' up and down on the stairs to the rooms on the first floor. Also little or no sleep due to couple above banging and crashing around all night. Don't care what others are doing but there really needs to be some thought into sound insulation between floor levels. not long enough of a stay. Didn't like that the air conditioner in the room was so difficult to operate. Could there be a simple cheat sheet on how to get it hot or cold. The price is a little expensive. The room was heated by A/C which turned off when you left because power is only supplied to the room when the key fob is inserted into a slot beside the door. This meant you always arrived to a cold room and you couldn't re-charge portable devices unless you were present in the room. The walls are too thin and we could hear the TV in the other room... The rooms could use a bit of a spruce up. Walls were paper thin and we didn't really need to hear the couple next door in the middle of the night, or the next morning when the woman was on the phone telling someone she was naked but would have clothes on by the time someone arrived. The Restaurant, buffet style meal which was not very good quality, overall I wouldn't eat there again, would try one of the many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. BBQ on site being chargeable while 5 minutes away was a free public one, just too far to cook and walk back. I found the rooms to be very basic and a little outdated. They need a makeover. The photos on the website looked a lot nicer than the room actually was. Family room had kitchenette without cooking facilities. Family rooms to close to main busy main entrance.bbq facilities not catering the front rooms. Had to pay for wi-fi. no powerpoints near bed. My only problem was that the fridge was very noisey in room 3 and kept me awake most of the night when it turned off and on. and when handing the key back after the room was already paid for I had to wait while she kept talking to others customers. Not having a teaspoon in our room to stir my tea. Nothing. Some of the children in nearby rooms running around the balcony- a bit noisy of them. Nil. Nothing, we had a really enjoyable stay. Style is little old but well kept. Perhaps maybe a sink or small kitchen. Bit aged. I thought it was very expensive for what it is. nothing at all. I was told it was self contained unit? didn't even have spoons to make a cup of tea. We could no get a take away meal to our room as restaurant was closed. This was Saturday night at 8.30pm, We were starving after spending so much time at Penguin parade. Couldn't even get a bowl of chips. We had a diabetic 82year old needing some food. The resort have charged the fee from my credit card aft I made reservation. Images on website and letsbookhotel.com were not accurate and gave a different impression to reality, on site restaurant and service was drastically poor and of poor value 5 tables on Saturday night out of 40 odd with 5 complaints, no imagination and food virtually rammed down your throat! Too many apologies for poor service with chef (owner) his wife and waitress all blaming each other! I'd stay again in room 20 or the like if price was negotiable but not for any other reason!. rooms are in need of updating microwave in room would of been handy. No heating in the room despite a split air con. We came back late from the penguin parade in freezing weather and could not get the split air con to work fro heat. Not Happy! We were considerate enough not to try and disturb anyone in the hotel so late on a Sunday night when no lights were on anywhere to indicate management was still awake. Room 9 bedroom with queen bed in room was to small and not much space to get around. Advertising as a heated pool on site. To me that means I can use it in winter, only to find out that the pool was locked. Pool was the only reason I booked in. smell in the toilet. Very very poor wifi connection, can't download my daily papers at all. None. THe resturant was expensive and there was no where to eat on Philip Island after we went and viewed the prnguin parade on a Saturday night. Bed ,especially pillows Resturant was disorganized ,got the order wrong.
