We were very impressed with the 3 beds in one room. We were a group of friends, 2 of whom did not know each other. It was nice for them to have their own beds. The breakfast room was very unique, as well. Very friendly staff, the season hadn't really started yet, so some things weren't open like the laundry room or pop machine but they made other suggestions and answered questions.
alle beoordelingen » Americas Best Value Mackinaw City is the only one I've stayed at that I'd return to. This location is clean and well kept, unlike others I've stayed in. The location was close to shopping attractions, but not too close that there were people all around all the time. Very peaceful location. Super cheap, simple easy breakfast, easy to get too, just outside the main street so its nice and quiet. It was a very clean room and was able to get to the other area events without having to travel to far. Good size room & the beds were comfortable! Management was friendly. I would stay here again. The room was more than suitable for our families needs, easy to find location. The room was clean, I was glad for the mini-fridge. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and we liked the layout. Pool was nice and warm. The continental breakfast. The room with 3 queen beds. Liked having the shuttle to the island ferry. Great friendly staff and clean spacious room. I liked everything about the hotel. Breakfast was awesome. Thanks. Everything room was Awesome. great hotel, nice stay. Loved the whirle pool. Clean, large room. Value. The triple room accomodated our needs (3 adults, 3 kids), the pool was large and deep enough to swim, the continental breakfast was sufficient for our needs, the price was right. It was a nice spacious room. The bathroom was huge with the jacuzzi & closet space. Ample room to put our luggage & store food, beverages. Location easy walking distance to town; good area for runners. More affordable than most places in Mack City. The person that checked us in was the most friendly... He knew what he was doing.. Very helpful..... Loved the king bed and spa, could check in hour early , staff was friendly , got cheap rate. The price was great for a hotel so close to Mackinaw city. Room was spacious and really enjoyed the spa tub. Like the price and the breakfast in the morning. Breakfast Room and Location. Location, availability. it was clean. Close to local sites to visit Three beds per room Laundry. It Was Away From The Main Street . Location to ferries. price was cheap. Room beds were somewhat ok. One of the staff seemed to be very non-chalant about the fact we had a gasoline leak in the parking lot. FINALLY when we got a rental car, we brought some kitty litter, but she was made aware of the danger and DID NOT make any attempt to cover the gas. The free Wi-Fi, that was advertised, did NOT work in my room or at the Breakfast Room...only at the front office. Smells kinda funky, not horrible but I wish I had brought some frebreze. The mattress was a bit to be desired but it worked for two nights. Had to ask many times for some clean room towels. The hot tub wasn't working properly but was warm. About the only thing that could stand to be fixed on a more permanent basis is the Wi Fi internet system. The front desk clerk reset it the first night, and it worked fine. By morning it was off again. Wifi didn't work,. No bedspread on the bed. Rusty water in the tub when first turned on. Hot tub in pool room was not working. The pool was very hot and I wish it had an outdoor pool. The bathroom was really small too. Shower was small. We are quite easy to satisfy. could have been an extra step to get up into the whirlpool. one of the light switches did not work. Things were a bit worn (doors didn't fit well and tended to stick, carpeting was stained) but nothing terrible. No remote for the (older) TV. Noisy Heater. One of our two sinks did not work, the tub faucet worked but the shower did not, the hot tub/spa did not work, had to ask for enough towels and washcloths to provide for the occupancy of the room. The carpet needs a deep cleaning, the mattress to the king bed was very used & worn out, sagging in the middle making it very uncomfortable to sleep in. The jacuzzi had brown water coming out of it & the television was way across the room with a 17" screen. From the bed you could barely see it. You could also see trash behind the night stand that had not been cleaned from others that had stayed prior. When people above us took a long shower and the water was raining through the ceiling into our bathroom, management did nothing when we called. The room was dirty. There was still coffee in the coffeemaker from the prior visit. There was garbage in the bathroom, the toilet did not look like it had been cleaned in weeks, the shower was dirty. I will say the beds were clean. There was no ice.. No water or soda in the machines, however they were doing their best to get the ice machine working. that the pool/ hot tub was seasonal and closed ,door windows only had mini blinds and let in alot of morning sunshine , small tv compared to room size and placement, stand up shower was not great as shower head was dirty and sprayed everywhere and not made for adult male higher than 5 ft , sheet had stain on it and bathroom was like being in a closet . The carpeting in the room and outdoor walkways looked as if had not been vacumned in days. Or cleaned in a long time. The ice bucket was covered in heavy dust and had dead knats in it. The breakfast room was filthy with black finger prints everywhere. The beautiful tile floor was covered in mud even though it had not rained in days. The bedding and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I asked for a handicap accessible room at the time I made my reservation. Unfortunately, letsbookhotel.com or the motel chose to ignore my request. We were booked into a second floor room which was very difficult for me to navigate as I use a walker. the room smelled terribly musty and damp...as if they had water issues and hadn't fixed it. Our T.V. remote didn't work, and the staff had to come in and re-program a new remote. Also, the staff in charge of the breakfast in the morning was rude and did not want to be there. Lady at check-in was not very friendly. No clock in our room. Expensive compared to other motels in other cities - we figure you charged more because of the Bridge Walk. 3 queen beds in room for two adults, limited breakfast. the wi fi sucked the free breakfast was all carbs and no protean. Place looks dirty and run down. People standing on Balcony being loud , drinking, playing rap music. You could see families coming in didn't like it. Ants Bathroom wall tile coming off Pool room not full working Most laundry machines did not work. To Start With... Didnt Get Clean Towels. Had To Ask For Them Twice. Bath Tub Would Not Drain Right. No HoT Water In The Sink. Had To Shake Handle On The Toliet To Get It To Get It To Quit Running. Breakfast Was A Joke. ToasteR Was Broke. Facility needs upgrading. Carpets were extremely dirty. We found hairs on the floors and in the sink. We have stayed here three times and had hoped for a cleaner environment this last time. We will likely chose a different place next time. bathroom very small, walls of tub/showers were falling down. bed was ok, but have had better. I didnt like that the spa didnt work. I would have liked to know that before I arrived. Also that there was clothes in the dresser that didnt belong to us. The air didn't work .had to be moved once the tub wouldn't drain .thought the place was a dump. But staff was super nice and did his best to make it better . Staff are not friendly ,can't connect Internet ,no towel. Location, Stuff, Room Not clean Light not working Too costly for the money. At breakfast the stuff was too bad. And just closing the counter before time. It was not clean at all! The towels were yellow and stained up they also had holes in them (we took pictures of them) the up keep and maintenance were substandard to say the least we considered finding somewhere else to stay and take a loss on the money we paid. When I booked the rooms I feel the description was not at all what it really was. We would never stay here again!!!. Dirty sheets, towels & wash clothes, uncomfortable beds,, filthy pool area, pool not heated, hot tub not working, outside of motel looked like it hadn't had any maintenance in years.
