Great facility with very attentive and polite staff... The ambiance was excellent and we were able to enjoy our 30th wedding anniversary in a very welcoming environment... Staff were excellent and we received a congratulatory bottle of champagne to top of a great experience... Katie in the View was a doll and treated us with great attention...We saw her for tea, breakfast, tea, and supper in the 2 day we stayed. We also enjoyed evening coffee and night caps in the Bistro and also in the Cottage.
alle beoordelingen » Historic, gorgeous Inn with tons of character, both inside and out. Decorated in unique Adirondack style. Awesome whirlpool and indoor pool on the ground floor. Spa is renowned. Breakfast buffet in The View restaurant was delicious. Room was plenty big for three women and tastefully decorated. Hotel is perfectly located right on the lake and a close walk to everything in town. This resort/spa lives up to its billings. Prime location and beautifully restored and maintained facilities. Professional, friendly and helpful staff without the "attitude" sometimes found in upscale establishments. Its a beautiful venue and a very well run operation. My compliments to the owners & management. You can tell that this is a labor of love. This is probably why its so alluring. Great place. The property is upscale, yet very kids friendly. We have been many times in lake placid. This was the best accommodation!. Everything, very professional, every one is special. They do a wonderful job. I would go back just for the ice cream !. Ambience, proximity to outdoor recreation, friendly staff, cleanliness, great cuisine. Quiet, comfortable, reliable. The atmosphere and setting. everything was impeccable. thanksgiving was perfect. Friendly staff. Everything. The hotel. the view. Not really a complaint but the nightly room rates are expensive and obviously geared to a certain clientele... As a 30th wedding anniversary get away, we splurged on your class of accommodation and don't regret the expenditure... (We stayed in best room available, # 838 with a great view and lots of comfort)...For a normal weekend getaway, we would need to consider a less expensive setting though. It takes over 5 and a half hours to drive there. Seriously, there was nothing not to like. Very clean room, just a bit dusty in some less accessable spots. Because of the venue, nature of the hotel, desired clientelle, economic realities, etc., I understand that it's going to be pricey; however, I wish that rooms could be more affordable. What is not to like?. Going there for almost 13 years. Facilities seem to age, rooms cozy, but need to be updated. At $450/night I expect more attention, staff is nice, but average. Somewhat lost its touch to make you feel at a special place. And that's what we used to love there. It was a little difficult getting into and out of the room from the parking lot in the snow at night..while they offered to help it didn't seem like a regular thing.. nothing. you have spoiled Lake Placid for us. no place can compare. when we return we will have to stay at MLI. Dining room overpriced Adjoining room noise carries Easily through walls Breakfast overpriced for what you get. Nothing. The food and food service. The food was awful. too much money for just a room with a view.
