  We liked the nearness of the City but just out far enough to have a quiet feel. It was about 15 minutes from railway station so we were able to walk and it was about 20 minutes to centre of town. The staff were very nice, accommodation excellent and breakfast amazing, especially if you have a big appetite!!!!!! Dinner on a half-board basis was exc... wat mensen zeggen » ellent but I imagine would not always suit everyone. It was more upmarket and you had to pay a supplement on some dishes. . We were happy with this an - We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.

  The Hotel is placed very convineantly, close to the train station, on the river front and on the door step of the York Dungeons and York centre. Beautiful, traditional room with lovely big bed, lovely view of the river from the room. Very warm welcoming staff, friendly and very willing to help. - My stay at the Waterfront was fantastic, excellent v... wat mensen zeggen » alue for money. I was right in the heart of the city. The room was very accommodating and the staff were very helpful. I even had dinner in the Waterfront restaurant, which I would highly recommend to anyone that stays over!!

  Really central. Literally minutes from everything you would want to see. Apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. We arrived way before normal check in time and our train wasn't until 2 the following day. The owner was quite happy to let us in early and stay until 2 the next way. Put it this way. Really nice guy. - Brilliant apartment in very good location right in the centre of York, but still nice and quiet. Very comfortable and good value, we would recommend to Friends and Family and visit again ourselves.

  Het ligt in het centrum van York - We liked everything - cleanliness, well appointed rooms, daily clean and beautiful quality of the towels, superb toiletries in bathroom. Delightful staff in dining room and reception. Excellent breakfasts, and in particular the smoked haddock with lemon and herb butter - yummy! short and easy access to all that... wat mensen zeggen » the city has to offer. - The food is great. with friendly staff. They are busy but if you grab their attention they will be happy to help. The beer . They have ale of the week at a really good price. The warmth and atmosphere of this very old Inn which still uses gas light. Food great. Good central location.
