I WOULD DEFINATELY GO TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN, IT HAD EVERYTHING, CLEANLINESS, GOOD BREAKFAST AND EASY ACCESS TO THE CENTRE OF YORK, WELL DONE TO ALL THE STAFF - The Groves is set in a tranquil location yet just 10 mins from Minster and shops. Parking is free and plentiful. The rooms have lots of thoughtful extras. They have a bar and full breakfasdt is included.

  The room was immaculately clean and I can't honestly suggest how it could be improved. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. I will definitaly recommend it to friends and will definitely stay there again. Good choice of breakfast and self service and a real bonus of having hot plates - Excellent location, on a regular bus route int... wat mensen zeggen » o city area. Room ample size, comfortable( loved the easy chairs), clean and bright. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and the young manager was extremely friendly and helpful.

  We liked the nearness of the City but just out far enough to have a quiet feel. It was about 15 minutes from railway station so we were able to walk and it was about 20 minutes to centre of town. The staff were very nice, accommodation excellent and breakfast amazing, especially if you have a big appetite!!!!!! Dinner on a half-board basis was exc... wat mensen zeggen » ellent but I imagine would not always suit everyone. It was more upmarket and you had to pay a supplement on some dishes. . We were happy with this an - We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.

  The Location of the hotel was only a 10 minute walk but after a few points and a walk around the town a taxi will cost you £5. Plenty of places to visit unable to cover them all but The market and the tr - I stayed at the York Lodge for two nights. Didn't really know what to expect after reading some of the reviews but I found it very comfortable. Just check in and then you can come and go, there's no reception or leaving your keys. Comfortable room and bed, generous supply of tea, coffee, etc, and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
