  Het bed in onze kamer (nr1) was uitstekend - The hotel is in the perfect location if you want peace and quiet but also to be within easy walking distance of the hustle and bustle. The room was very clean, had everything we needed for comfort. The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving breakfast was fantastic, very friendly and welcoming.   Everything was exceptional. The place is a typical country house with very clean rooms with white crisp towels and bed linen. Breakfast was something I used to look forward to every morning which was really good. Location was just right as we were travelling by car and few mins from windermere centre. Above all Rosemarie was wonderful as she ga... wat mensen zeggen » ve us a warm welcome on arrival and my 10 year old son adored her as well as her two dogs. Would definitely go back there if we travel to Windermere - I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this. The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. T
