We had booked provisional accommodation in Weymouth, but on trawling through the remaining alternatives, we came across The Old Rectory. As soon as we had read the details and customer feedback, we promptly cancelled our existing reservation and rebooked to stay at The Old Rectory, and how glad we are that we did. Barbara and Graeme are a most charming, efficient, but non-intrusive couple who run the B&B. They are enormously experienced which showed in the tasteful decoration of this lovely. alle beoordelingen »
Barbara, Graham and Ruby the dog were the best hosts. They were very welcoming and accomodating. On arrival they brought a pot of tea and cake to our room which was a nice touch. Breakfast was also piping hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. They also noticed i left my bluberries and rasberries out of my fruit salad the first day so left them out the second day. Its the small touches that make it great! The hotel is in a great position, with a quiet beach just opposite and a 15 minuite stroll t.
The owners & Ruby were so welcoming, I felt like we were visting old
friends. I wanted to to sit and chat with them, not go out for a meal.
It was so quiet, even though the beach was 5 mins away. Horrible weather
when we arrived, made us so grateful we could recover in a warm, quiet
relaxing room. This was designed and decorated to a very high standard.
Having such a small appetite I couldn't do justice to the excellent
breakfast. It was good to see the sun the next day. I wouldn't
hesitate.

Barbara and Graham (the owners) were very friendly and helpful. We loved the 1920's house. The beds were new and very comfortable. The breakfasts were not only scrumptious but looked attractive the way that they were served. Could not find any faults.
The owners were as warm and welcoming as their guest house. We were made to feel very valued and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was delicious and the room warm and cosy. The decor was of impecible taste. A lovely visit all round.

Only the weather!.
Nothing, but there is no guest lounge and no bar. I knew that so it wasnt a problem but it may not suit all guests.
Nothing to dislike.
