As mentioned by others, Michael is a most attentive host. He rang me the night before to ask if we wanted a reservation made at a local restaurant which he did for us, then he even gave us a lift to the restaurant. A good selection of teas in the room as well as chocolate bars, fresh flowers and fruit. The highlight has to be the breakfast, a great fresh fruit salad and selection of yoghurts and pastries. The cooked breakfast was huge I could not eat all of it, not surprising - 2 large realy ta.
alle beoordelingen » We were fortunate when choosing a bed and breakfast in the West Kirby area to find Calderscroft when we were visiting Liverpool with some friends for the weekend. What we had thought of as a mere room and bed turned out to be a most wonderful experience. Calderscroft really is a boutique bed and breakfast. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and very tastefully furnished. The breakfast was a banquet. We were completely full for the rest of the day. Michael the owner is one of the most en. We consider ourselves lucky to have stayed at CaldersCroft, it was one of the highlights of our trip. We warmed to Michael straight away, he is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to make your stay perfect. The house is beautiful, straight out of a home beautiful magazine, decorated by Michael. The breakfast was amazing. Only the best will do! He booked us into a lovely restaurant, the same he recommends for all of his guests. My husband rates this restaurant as the best for our entire tri. I'm a little bit in love with West Kirby and Calders Croft, the B&B is wonderful, the room is just superb with gorgeous furnishings and attention to detail. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in and Michael, what can you say about the wonderful Michael he's just about the best host you could ever wish for. West Kirby is a lovely little town and with close proximity to Liverpool you just about have it all. What a beautiful house! My friend and I wanted to spend a weekend by the sea and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Michael is a lovely man with a great sense of humour and a beautiful home! We had a suite and it was luxurious with everything we could need. The breakfast was amazing, we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. We will definitely be going back there soon!. I have never stayed in a B & B like Calderscroft. It is 5 star perfection all the way. Michael is the perfect host. He even drove us to the restaurant he recommended and came in with us for a chat. We had such a laugh with him. The breakfast is amazing. You could not get better in a 5 star hotel. In fact, a 5 star hotel would not reach Michael's standards. The room and bathroom were excellent, large, well appointed and very clean. Small touches such as a bowl of fruit and fresh flowers set it apart from other places we have visited. Michael was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was large, well cooked and used very high quality produce. Overall, we can't recommend it highly enough. The king suite was excellent with all the little extra's you could want. The breakfast will last you all day and the Danish Pastry are to die for. A quiet location, 100yards from the Dee Estuary, towelled bathrobes in the room and the most comfortable of beds. Truly a benchmark. We had an excellent break. The trip was taken to relax away from the day to day trials we face with our disabled son. The facilities were above our expectation which was enhanced by being given an upgrade. Nothing was too much trouble for staff who went the extra mile to make the break very relaxing and enjoyable. The stay was more than expected. Michael the host was constantly making sure we were comfortable. The breakfastses were unbelievable. They were a 10 daily. He is truly a host who cares about his customers. Being picky, the tv could not be seen if you lie on the bed and the comfy armchairs were in the wrong corner to be able to sit and watch telly (if you wanted to). Though the soap and hand cream are Molton Brown the shampoo and shower gel provided are just mass market cheap brands so take your own. We thought the room was a bit cold, though it must be difficult to please all. There was nothing we found to dislike and we are definitely fussy. Nothing. Nothing - everything is top notch. Arriving at the address we were expecting an actual Hotel, the premesis is actually a private address with no sign outside. But please do not be put off because it is spacious, spotless and one of the best places we have ever stayed. there was nothing to not like; everything was done perfectly. The fact we were only booked in for the one night!!. Parking was not ideal with the four rooms in occupation. We were concerned not to upset the neighbours so parked a lttle way away. This was not a strong dislike but we're used to parking in hotel grounds. Slightly out of the way, but very peaceful. Nothing. It was just lovely to stay there. Nothing. Nothing. nothing. nothing. Nothing not to like. Nothing. There was no aspect to dislike. Nothing!.
