The staff are amazingly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and all round nice. It felt more like a family hotel than a chain hotel (and I mean that as a positive comment.)

Had a great stay at Burswood Guest House, the attention to detail was first class, down to dressing gowns, slippers, chocolates and real napkins (not the usual paper serviettes) The breakfast was excellent a great selection of fruit and a lovelly cooked breakfast. What a fantastic place to stay! This was a two night treat weekend at the races for my father in law and did he get a treat, as we did also! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was better than most top business hotels I have stayed in across Europe. The attention to detail in the bedrooms and the dining room was fantastic. George the owner is a lovely guy and the service is second to none.

Nikki and her children Miles and Alicia were the perfect hosts. We
stayed on the top floor and the rooms were perfect with a nice view from
the rooftop windows. Nikki made us a lovely breakfast and gave us a lot
of information and directions around the city of York. I would recommend

It was close to city centre, about 15 minutes walk. Cute little room with a comfy bed. Not a lot of frills, but didn't feel like anything I needed was really lacking. Had a cozy inn kind of feel to it. The staff was very nice and let us keep our car in the car park after we checked out so we could wander the city a bit. -

We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.

Well appointed rooms every thing you would need. Plenty of tea coffee etc. Breakfast was fab good selection of cereal fresh fruit even mince pies and bottled water. Followed by full English and any amount of toast.location was spot on a nice 15 minute walk along the river to the center of York. Would defiantly stay again. -

Earlier that day he kindly gave my friend who had travelled by car a lift into town. Lovely spacious, comfortable room and well supplied with toiletries. Good breakfast, freshly cooked to order.
