A charming, thatched country pub, The Trout Inn is located in the village of Bickleigh, on the River Exe. Just 6 minutes’ drive south of Tiverton, it has free on-site parking, a bar and a restaurant.
Decorated with a traditional wooden-beam framework, the restaurant serves up home cooked food using fresh local produce. A hearty breakfast is also served in the mornings. The rustic-themed bar hosts frequent live music events and also includes a vibrant beer garden.
Each of the rooms at The Trout Inn boasts a river view, an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. Tea and coffee making facilities are also included.
Guests can make the most of the surroundings by visiting the Yearlstone Vineyard, which is just 3 minutes’ drive away. Alternatively, Cothay Manor, a 15th century medieval manor is a 31-minute car journey from the inn.

It was like spending a weekend in the country with good friends! The young staff could not do enough for us. The room was newly-refurbed with spanking new shower room and all spotlessly clean. Food was wonderful, especially Fiona's epic breakfasts! We will certainly return for more, probably in the summer.
Highly recommended. A wonderful place to stay if your looking for a friendly, comfortable and homely atmosphere. The food was excellent, the bed comfortable, the room immaculate, fantastic service. We are only sorry that our stay was for one night. We will definitely be returning.alle beoordelingen »

A family run Inn with the personal touch. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Warm welcome, friendly and informal. Everyone had the same approach of service and desire to meet the customer needs.
great atmosphere in the pub and really friendly staff , overall a great stay ,thanks again to the Trout INN .
The breakfast was particularly good - the family room was large and provided everything you would expect.
Very friendly staff, large breakfast, reasonably priced drinks and food.
Welcoming and efficient staff. It was pleasure to stay there.
A very enjoyable one night stay and we would recommend it.
Staff friendly and a warm welcome, lovely food, comfy bed.
The food was excellent.
Busy road, although very efficient double glazing kept the noise to a minimum, and car park across the road. But not a lot to be done about either of these and they didn't detract one bit from our overall enjoyment.
Nothing.
One very minor point was that there was only jam available for toast and no marmalade.
Nothing.
More low level lighting in the main bar/restaurant (which is a large, brightly lit space) would make the dining/drinking experience more intimate and comfortable making guests more likely to linger.
Very small minus because it didn't really affect our stay but the road you had to cross from car park was quite busy.
Parking was across and up the road.
We have no dislikes at all,.
Nothing!.
