The Crescent Hotel is a Grade II listed building, situated in the centre of Scarborough and 10 minutes’ walk from South Bay Beach. The hotel overlooks the pleasant Crescent Gardens. Fresh local seafood and prime Yorkshire steaks are served in the award-winning Reflections Restaurant. A less formal dining experience is offered in the carvery, which features roast beef, Yorkshire puddings and steak and kidney pie. Home-cooked crisps are served in the bar, which can be found on the ground floor. A private bathroom, flat-screen LCD TV and 100% goose-down quilts are featured in all rooms at The Crescent. Brunswick Shopping Centre is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and the opening to North York Moors National Park is only a 15-minute drive. Scarborough Railway Station and Stephen Joseph Theatre are both a 5-minute walk.

The initial welcome was warm and helpful. Restaurant meal was excellent as was the breakfast. Bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. We had to leave early because of a dentistry problem and the hotel staff were very sympathetic and did not charge for the days we cancelled. Very positive attitude of staff from the moment we walked in. Excellent food - fast breakfast service, good quality evening meal in the main dining room and tasty one in the less publicised carvery downstairs. Spacious bedroom. Pleasant bar downstairs at the front.

Lovely breakfast and staff very helpful. We had a great weekend. The staff were friendly and helpfull, the room was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the reflections restaurant. We will definitely use this hotel again. The room was very comfortable and clean. We had room 22 which was dual aspect, so light and airy. Breakfast was lovely. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel has a very good rating and it is well deserved, great service, clean modern spacious room and good food. As Scarborough hotels go this is one of the very best. Excellent location.Spacious bedroom. Clean well lit bathroom with full sized bath. Dinig room staff. Excellent choice at breakfast. The hotel's position is an ideal starting place for walking, the Stephen Joseph theatre and the railway station. The staff are cheerful,friendly and helpful and serve a good breakfast. Attractive period building in beautiful Georgian Crescent with views to the sea. Situated very close to the centre of town. Bedroom & Bathroom. Nothing to comment on. Our room (No.26) was at the back facing the multi-storey carpark and next to a bus route. Traffic had to accelerate up the hill. The route was also used until 0200 by bank holiday Friday and Saturday night clubbers walking home. Our windows had to stay open at night because it was hot and there was no fan to circulate the air. Fortunately we had earplugs and a good night's sleep was ensured by the fresh air and exercise in the daytime. Next time, we'll ask for a room at the front. Nothing. Car parking on the crescent is quite expensive and you can only put 3 hours maximum on the ticket at a time. With any town hotel, parking can be a bit of a nightmare in summer as you need to pay and display on the street but this is a minor issue. Noise transmission from people in the room above. Dust on inside of bedroom drawers and dado rail. The view from the window but we did book late and didn't have a choice of rooms. There was nothing we didnt like about this hotel. although the road in front of the hotel was not a main road, it could be a bit noisy at night. Our room must have been over the kitchens as the fans were rather noisy and did disturb us a bit through the night. The sausages at breakfast - fatty, chewy, taste not good. Heard creaky floorboards outside our room, and other guests TV from our room. Nothing. Their is nothing about our stay that we did not like/enjoy. No parking available. Having to go home!! :). nothing. cold breakfast on day1 but rectified on day 2. Think the hotel is slightly pricey for the facilities on offer. Breakfast buffet choice could be better. Lift antiquated and slow. No parking on premises lift not working. Nothing. Some of the food served at dinner was not up to standard. zero. Lift was broken during our stay. Parking situation. The Hotel lacks investment and needs updating and re-decoration generally and the bathrooms need a refit. We ate at the restaurant but the food was not great. The photos suggest spacious rooms but this was not our experience. The windows badly needed cleaning but perhaps the bad weather had made cleaning difficult. Rickerty Lift Bedroom on Top Floor (didn't complain because we were only staying the one night) Dinner disappointing (Did not experience quality food).

Hotel guests can buy a parking permit from reception on check-in for GBP 4 which covers the entire date of issue until 13.30 the following day. 2 multi-storey car parks are adjacent to the hotel, and charges vary.
