  This is more like a 5 star hotel than a B&B though you would never get such friendly service in a hotel. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the accommodation (super comfy beds, beautiful furnishings, wide screen TVs), the wonderful owners for whom nothing is too much trouble, the delicious breakfasts and the stunning surroundings. ... wat mensen zeggen » Have stayed there once on my own on business and then returned with my family - both my girls (aged 10 and 14) wanted to stay on and are begging for a - Having arrived, we were greeted by Lorraine, who very kindly offered us tea and cake before we were taken to our room. This was much appreciated and very welcome. Lorraine and Derek are fantastic hosts. Helpful in every way possible. We were in The Pitlochary Room, which was beautiful. Varied choice for breakfast, and very good it was too. I cannot find fault in this B&B, and would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to visit Callendar. There's a lodge more or less at the end of the drive that does lovely food and you can drink the night away there and talk to the locals while they spin you a story or two! Followed by a sing song! Breakfast was plentyful with lovely home made jams. There are no tv's in the rooms, - This has to be one of the best values for family lodging in the Loch Lommond area!! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the self catering cottage. With 2 bedrooms, one with a double and single upstairs and another downstairs with a bunk bed set, this cottage easily accommodates a family or group of 5 people. It has a kitchen and a living/ dining area with a table that 4 can comfortably sit at for meals. The Londis grocery store is an easy 5 minute walk away and if you prefer a meal out

  Staff was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a family room. The rooms were spacious even with the extra single bed brought into the room. The full size bed was very large and comfortable. Ensuite bathroom featured bath/shower. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Edinburgh. It was also nice enjoy the outside patio area since the weather was nice. - Cleanliness and reliability: We can rely on the standard being the same everywhere and for a very reasonable price (we are retired and 1 of us disabled).   The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good wholesome food and very enjoyable breakfast. Second day of our stay, I asked the landlord if they could get rack of lamb, this was no problem and as he is also the cook produced a wonderful rack of lamb for our dinner, so if staying for a few days treat yourself and have him do y... wat mensen zeggen » ou a rack. We were there to mountain bike and found a few good tracks to Strathyre. Rob and Amanda were very helpful and if we are ever in the area a - What a lovely little hotel! It's in a beautiful setting facing Loch Earn and inside everything is very well maintained and cared for. Robert and Amanda are excellent hosts who obviously love their work. Meals are served in the restaurant and the bar and are delicious - and in BIG portions. Highly recommended

  For a chain, it's well done and as personal as a chain can get. The staff was really friendly and helpful and even let us check in a bit early. The location is right on the bus line and the foot path to the Falkirk Wheel runs right behind the attached restaurant. We enjoyed a good dinner in the restaurant but skipped breakfast to head to the Edinburgh airport. Only stayed one night.

  I loved the scottish decor. Ie tartan carpets. Nicely furnished rooms. Friendly family feel. Best night of our holiday with live music from pure malt. Fantastic. Breakfast amazing.
