  The atmosphere was formal yet relaxed, the staff were professional and prompt. The room was perfect, very clean and comfortable! - Only slept, showered and left so difficult to comment, however one ofthe cups in our bedroom was dirty, left from previous occupantpresumably.

  Bed was comfortable and we had a quiet area to stay in. Very nice modern pool with hot tub and sauna & steam room and family changing rooms. Modern hotel throughout.   positief was eigenlijk alles, de ontvangst was perfect, niets was te veel de hotelkamer was keurig netjes inclusief de badkamer het personeel was grandioos alles wat je vroeg werd geregeld zelfs een lunch pakketje voor mijn kleinzoon voor onderweg, het ontbijt was ook al prima en het ontbrak ons aan niets veel lof voor het hotel en personeel - gast... wat mensen zeggen » vrijheid personeel, mooie omgeving

  Fantastic environment for a family trip to marwell zoo! We loved theattention to detail in the hotel and rooms even down to the animal printmugs and penguin biscuits!   Service and staff were excellent.Early evening the restaurant was busy with families calling in after a visit to Peppa Pig Park but quietened down later..Dinner was very good ,with plenty of choice and freshly cooked .A good breakfast menu and unlimited coffee. Really liked it. Lots of parking, very central and close to main roads. Right next to paultons park if you are going there this could not be more ideal.   Was very favorably surprised, considering the price we paid we expected something a lot less. The Hotel is in very good order, a lot of refurbishment, new carpets, the rooms we had were immaculate, better than Premier Inn & Travel Lodge by a long chalk. As for the last review about thin walls, we stopped in two double rooms next to each other ... wat mensen zeggen » and I knocked the wall between the two to rouse my travelling companion and was not heard in the next room, so far from thin walls, and not sure about - The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble Lovely food - carvery and a la carte Rooms were clean and spacious and simply decorated with tea/ coffee making facilities And the ironing board and iron were in the room on arrival, no need to call reception and wait - a real plus! Plenty of parking and easy to get to Lovely atmosphere throughout

  Staff very helpful and friendly - allowed us to park in staff car park, when the bay parking was full. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice (toaster needs turning up though to get slightly darker toast); eggs were poached to perfection. Ideal location for Gunwhart Quays, historic shipyard and just a ten minute walk into Portsmouth town centre... wat mensen zeggen » - through the very pretty Victoria Park. We stayed in a recently refurbished room on the first floor - extremely high standard and finish, very quite - It was just ideal for our stay, mum n I hadn't been Portsmouth in a very long time, we thought the hotel was great conveniently located in the fact that was close to the places we wanted to go. The historic dockyards n the spinnaker was fabulous n magnificent and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Hotel was lovely n spacious, friendly staff willing to help n made u feel very welcomed. Close to where we wanted to go close to the ammenties and parking was great didn't need to travel far in the car

  The meal we had was fantastic! The meatiest, largest lamb shank with delicious gravy, creamy mashed potatoes, carrots and peas. Apple & rhubarb crumble with lashings of custard. MMMMMMMM! The hotel was directly across from the cruise liner we were visiting. We were able to make a free phone call for a taxi to the Art Gallery. Good location, close to the West Quay, Train Station and a Cinema is within 5 minutes walk. Guildhall is 10 -15 minutes walk away. Also have a MacDonalds and tfi Friday's close by. Rooms are basic, clean and ideal for a night or two can't fault.

  het is een geweldig leuk hotel, oorspronkelijk uit ca. 1500 (!) en zo ziet het er in eerste instantie ook uit van buiten: echt een sprookjesachtig decor in een heel mooie omgeving. Van binnen is alles keurig op orde, heel mooi de oude stijl daargelaten maar keurig netjes en schoon en gerenoveerd zodat het volledig voldoet aan de moderne, hoge, maat... wat mensen zeggen » staven. Ik ben echt heel enthousiast! - staff were friendly and helpful,the food in the restaurant was excellent,i had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel will definately stay there again - I will gladly recomend this hotel to my family and friends due to the courteous treatment we received during our short stay
