  Stayed 5 nights in the King Suite. 1 bedroom and 2 sofa-beds (in the living room) accommodated 4 of us (me, my wife & 2 adult children) well. Unit was well-fitted out (washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, etc).   The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was open plan with two double beds but had 2 ensuite showers which was a definite bonus. Most of the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay which we very much appreciated. It was easy to catch a bus to the London Eye/Embankment, the bus stop was a few - Helpful staff, quiet on courtyard view, clean, cooking for ourselves saved money so made the price reasonable compared to hotel and cost of eating out. Staff arranged adjacent room for our family so we all met for family gathering. We will return. Near enough for river & Eye, Aquarium, Tower Bridge. Local area is interesting renovated old warehouses.

  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st.   My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries.
