  The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very homely and welcoming. Our room was lovely and large with plenty of room in the hallway for our cot. We were shown to our rooms and everything that we needed to know was explained to us. Spa facilities were amazing and again, very friendly staff. Grounds were amazing and very relaxing.

Spacious room exceeded expectations - Hartpury with superking bed under 1/2 tester & fantastic corner bath. Very nice breakfast, go - this hotel is an absolute delight, a real hidden gem in the Gloucestershire countryside. Our room was probably one of the more 'ordinary' ones, but having said that we could not have asked for more. Everything that I could think of that would make a stay in a hotel comfortable, the staff had thought of first.   Self catering apartments were good as usual- some improvements noticeable eg outdoor table and chairs for relaxing on the deck, door wedges provided. All the usual niceties too like plenty of tea and coffee, toiletries, water and fruit in the gym, towels provided in th pool area etc - The high quality of the apartment was superb.   Grote mooie kamer Goed bereikbaar - We chose Thistle Cheltenham because a few weeks earlier we had stayed in The Atlantic Tower - Thistle in Liverpool and enjoyed our stay so much we looked for the Thistle name for our visit to Cheltenham. Excellent in every respect. The room was easily on a par with Liverpool (except no flat screen TV but this was... wat mensen zeggen » not a problem). Before we went down to breakfast we had a free swim, Jacuzzi and sauna. - Swimming and going into the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The room was lovely and we have visited the hotel several times over the past 10 years and always enjoy returning to the Thistle Cheltenham. Lovely hotel and the breakfast was very nice. Most enjoyable stay.
