  We paticulary liked the style and feel regarding its elizabethan theme and its historic background. A real treat. - can't fault it. a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. the attention to detail for is great, champagn on arrival, umbrella and welly boots for country walks, loads of facilities. the complimentary wine tasting is a great way to start your evening.

  The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - anywhere. Lovely room - great hospitality tray including your own fresh coffee. Bathroom was great - plug/combined tap was a bit hard to fathom at first but modern bathroom appliances are a steep learning curve for some and easy for others. The room and property were a bit of peace and quiet away from the seafront noise of Sidmouth itself - and yet only a bus ride or - We stayed in the heather suite which was very comfortable, nicely decorated and relaxing. Nice jacuzzi bath. We had evening meal ( additional cost) that was outstanding, the food and surroundings.

  This was my 1st trip since the refurbishment and what a great job they have done with the re decoration of the Bedrooms & all other areas and the Dining Room has been very tastefully transformed into a very stylish area with an excellent cooking standard to match and very friendly attentive service. I love it's location sat amongst the rolling... wat mensen zeggen » hills of north devon and definitely recommend a visit as you won't be disappointed. - The room recently refurbished was fantastic. Nice and big the bed was large and lovely bathroom. Dinner cooked by chef Bruce was perfect, he even came out and we made sure he knew how much we enjoyed it. In the mornig we enjoyed the lovely jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool. All round great stay.

  Booked a superior room after seeing the pics on the website, absolutely lovely; enjoyed the evening meal and the breakfast; all the staff were very friendly; great location; would definitely come back in the summer. - Wonnderful location, hotel staff were all very good and the special rate made it very attractive.

  Food was excellent. Rooms were excellent very comfy and well equipped. The grounds are so quiet and so looked after its a pleasure to be outside and listen to nothing. Hotel is beautiful inside and out. Spa was fantastic. If you go here you must use the spa which is free for guests.   Was upgraded from executive double to executive suite on arrival which was a nice surprise. The decoration and facilities in the room were superb, one of the best rooms that I have ever stayed in. When booking the hotel I was expecting a very staid environement and was pleasantly suprised by the contemporary feel to the hotel. - Staff were exceptio... wat mensen zeggen » nal.   the games room, we used the most.there was a very gfood singer, that was not really our thing, but everyone else seemed to like it , and we could enjoy it,but still play pool etc in the annex off from it, so it was well thought out - Very impressed by naveens hospitality and even upgraded myroom...nice one!

  We were extremely impressed with the room in which we stayed. Our 19 month old daughter was given a lovely cot to sleep in, our sheets were always turned down by the time we got back at night and mints on our pillows-you cant get better than that! Our bathroom was extremely clean and we were provided with wonderful little shampoos and body lotion e... wat mensen zeggen » tc. Best place we have ever stayed!!! - We arrived tired after driving from Oxford, and our room was not ready. However the reception staff were marvellously kind and welcoming and gave us a complimentary tray of tea in the lounge. When it became clear that there would be a further delay, we were switched to another room immediately. I am full of praise for the reception staff.

  The waiters, waitresses and bar staff were very nice. Andy and Keeley especially were nice and friendly and good at their job - always smiling. They made our stay very enjoyable and were very helpful and chatty. They got on with our kids great. The pool and hot tub was nice. The views were the best I've ever seen. Absolutely spectacular. Have told loads of family and friends to g - Had read some early bad reports from a while back, and went with some reservation. There was no need to worry. All aspects of our stay was brilliant. We in particular enjoyed the two evening dinners we had in the restaurant.
