  Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. I have travelled widely in the UK and if every BandB I stayed in was a good as this I would be a very h... wat mensen zeggen » appy woman. I was recommended and will return as a foodie the food was excellent loved main meal nad breakfats - The staff were exemplary - all were extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to be helpful. The accommodation was also very nice, and beautifully kept. The food was excellent as was the service in the restaurant. The only thing I would say is that you should be prepared to pay over £100 for a meal for 2 people, which some might consider a little pricey.

  loved the frendlyness of the staff and fantastic food, - Delightful setting, staying at the village pub enhanced the experience of rural England. Food in the restaurant was excellent, and there was a selection of good real ale. Staff were fantastic, and the rooms clean and cosy. Our bathroom was across the hall, but didn't detract from the stay.

  The hotel is in a gorgeous old building in a quiet neighberhood a bit away from the city. It has the hallmarks of past elegance but is showing its age. However, for cyclist weary from a long day on the road, we loved its lack of pretension. We had a huge room with a gorgeous view over the river. Depending on weather, seating was either outside on a patio or inside full glass, but both were overlooking the garden and the river. It was - The location within yards of the South West Coastal Path. Main bus route at the end of the road. Just a short 1/2 mile walk along the path opposite the hotel to the centre of Bideford. Breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail in approx 1 mile away. The view from the bedroom and dining room over the fiver was superb.
