  Alison was very welcoming and helpful. Just having had a foot operation she was keen to provide any help needed. The room was quiet and the bed large and comfortable. The en-suite had everything needed, with a good shower & hot water. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and not greasy. The permit for nearby... wat mensen zeggen » free parking is an added bonus. - A very warm, clean and well equipped room. We brought our 'well-behaved' spaniel who loved the guesthouse and our host. The cooked breakfast was excellant. We were warmly welcomed, well fed and very well look after during our stay. We loved it! And excellant value for money as well.

  The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. The food and service by the restau... wat mensen zeggen » rant staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.
