we payed a little more for a Lakeland room and it was well worth the mony, the only thing we would say is that the room was over the bar and it was a little noisey but that stopped as soon as the bar closed. - Everything! We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

The staff were all vey friendly and helpful.The tea making facilities in the room with biscuits was good, and the room was lovely and warm. overall, it was a lovely old country house, and we would definetly stay there again.
