The B&B was very clean and quiet. The water feature outside my room was switched off at night so it didn't disturb my sleep and I could sleep with the window open.
Breakfast looked to have lovely fresh fruit, cereal and cooked. Wish I could have had some.

Astounding views of the Cornwall coast, Penzance and St. Michaels Mount from the dining room, guest lounge, and guest rooms. Everything - very friendly & welcoming hosts. Clean, large comfortable room and en suite, with large walk in shower. Bottled water & hot drink sachets + biscuits provided. Fantastic breakfast. Home made yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, toast & choice of cooked breakfast (inc fresh fish) every day. We were offered and advised on the local places of interest, which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would not hesitate to recommend Helstone House to others.

Overall an excellent hotel and experience. Basic rooms but very comfortable. THE cleanest rooms I have seen in my 30+ years of travelling (and that includes staying frequently in 5 star hotels). Very friendly owners and staff. Extremely nice breakfasts. Will be staying there again when I need to visit that part of the country.

Everything! Helpful and friendly hosts, quiet and spotlessly clean house, very good breakfasts...and just a couple minutes walk to the beach, a few minutes more into the town. Also extremely good value for money. I have stayed in many guest houses over the years and I would say The Lynwood is the very best of the best. I loved my stay there. -

I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it.
If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California
