  Located in a lovely valley with beautiful gardens. The catering options were second to none - breakfast exceptional; dinner and bar snacks excelent value. Could not fault the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable and well appointed. We would definately not stay anywhere else on Guernsey, the whole ambience of the hotel was so relaxin - The hotel is in a truly stunning setting, looking out over a wooded gully, to the sea. Service was good, as was the food at both restaurants - it's well worth a trip to the Rock Garden for a few cocktails, too! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in Guernsey. Potential bookers should note that this is NOT in St Peter Port town but a rural location in the parish.

  Everything you needed, nice touch with coffee etc on arrival and welcome pack. Bus to airport stops outside and costs £1.70 :-) used dishwasher, washer etc and no problem with leaving your rubbish etc out and getting extra tabs. Paid etc for harbour view which was lovely on the night we stayed in. Bed and topper very comfortable. Location is superb, within easy walk of most of the attractions of Jersey - St Helier. Fast wi-fi and the staffs at the reception is VERY VERY POLITE. Whats a wonderful view of the Marina they gave to me.. wooow!!! I will be back there for sure very soon. Thank you very much all member of staffs for a warm and happy stay.   The hotel is set right on the coast with wonderful views of Corbiere lighthouse. We stayed in October and the hotel was very, very quiet only a few guests. Our room was fantastic as it overlooked the coast, had a balcony and it was large and clean. The staff were very welcoming and even recommend the restaurant next door for our evening meal, eve... wat mensen zeggen » n thought they were open at the hotel for food. The breakfast was also good too. So overall a great place! - The whole experience. The room had a wonderful view, comfy bed, en-suite, clean, decent sizes mugs for drinks in the room. Restaurant and bar clean and well staffed, food good. All staff very friendly and helpful. Garden and pool area facing the sea, very relaxing and peaceful. would like to return in future. Thr beach at St Brelade was beautiful with a good choice of restaurants and free car parking on Sunday!

  Mot of the staff were very helpful and courteous. especially in the dining room.... Excellent. Liked our room and the gardens, very relaxing. general atmosphere of the place very good. - the staff were very friendly and helpful.I was with my 6 year old grandson and we had problems getting him out of the swimming pool.

  We found our first experience of Jersey very welcoming because of the staff and facilities and comfort of the Shakespear. The room was comfortable and very well fitted out, with a superb view. The Cafe South, with similar sea views, is a delightful place for breakfast and dinner, and the food was excellent. Special mention must be made of all the restaurant staff, who were exceptionally friendly and efficient - by the time we left, we felt like we were old friends. We will certainly recommend this hotel, and wish the owners every success for
