  We liked the location and ambience of the hotel. The decor and architecture we found very appealing. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We understand that the hotel has been open only a matter of 8 months or so. The views from the front of the hotel are stunning. The building is spectacular and the grounds are beautiful. The inside is a delight. It's like stepping back in time. You can wander around and enjoy the opulence or sit and read and relax in one of the many luxurious rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A stunning chateau for a special occasion or a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

  We rented the 2 bedroom cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the room to stretch out..very relaxing. The kitchenette was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable and the amenities exactly as promised. The supplies of wine, beer, drinks and snacks were thoroughly appreciated after a long day of travel from Scotland. Breakfast was amazing - delicious and h... wat mensen zeggen » uge...come hungry! We enjoyed the stunning scenery and the peace and quiet that Blackthorn Farm afforded us. We would love to return! - The staff was extremely hospitable. They provided is with two pack and plays for our children. They only had one high chair, but they were willing to borrow a second one for us, which we wound up not needing. they were also willing to keep the kitchen open for us if we wanted dinner when we arrived. the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and newly renovated. we would definitely choose to stay here again whether for a longer trip or for just an overnight to catch the ferry.
