  Everything but in particular: Warm welcome - we arrived slightly late and the owner was kind enough to book us a table at a nearby pub and then ferry us there and back - nice touch Rooms - Rarely do you get a 5 * that lives up to it's billing but this is an exception. Food - quality breakfast with wide choice from cooked cereals to cheese and meats and a - Perfect hosts, welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative but never intrusive. A lovely room (Fountains), very well executed stylish decor and quality furniture, spotlessly clean with a large, comfortably appointed and finished en suite bathroom and a great view of the beautiful location and grounds set in a valley in Dalby Forest. Wide choice of breakfast goodies the, cooked options where superb. Staying here was a real pleasure, a rare combination of wonderful hosts and an exceptional house

  The owners were very friendly they couldn't do enough for you and the breakfast was plentiful and cooked too perfection, being able to choose what you would like on your cooked breakfast the day before ensured that there was no waste and you only got what you wanted. Ideal location for the coast and York. The only thing I was disappointing with wa... wat mensen zeggen » s the fact that we were only able to stay for one night, next time it will be for longer and our son will be joining us. - Ron and His wife were so welcoming! Helped us out with free parking and got us settled in straight away! Made sure our breakfasts were catered to us individually and showed us to our rooms. Every time we saw them they were so happy and friendly which made the stay so much more relaxing. Exelent service, strongly recommended to everyone who wants a quiet get away and friendly atmosphere. With only being there less than 24 hours they both made us feel right at home!

  We stayed on saturday night the 8th of june, with our dog, in one of the outside cottages. Really enjoyed it! The cottage was lovely and cosy, with a nice enclosed garden for the dog. It was clean and comfortable. We booked the evening meal in the upstairs pub restaurant, It was very nice, as was the breakfast the following day. We would stay agai... wat mensen zeggen » n. - Easy access to coast and countryside from Cropton making for good days out with the knowledge that when back at the pub there was excellent food and beer waiting! The staff were all very polite and helpful and we look forward to visiting there again and renting one of the cottages so that we can take the dog.
