Central to village of Nether Stowey on edge of Quantock Hills and other local attractions. Friendly landlord & wife with nothing too much trouble. Accomodation very comfortable and good value for money. Food is also freshly cooked of good quality and plentifull. Small village but locals are very friendly and helpful so The Rose and Crown is an ideal base for walking, cycling or touring by car. alle beoordelingen »
It was perfect for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful and our rooms were spacious, comfortable and well equipped. we ate our delicious evening meal in a bar buzzing with atmosphere and breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for the day.
The staff and locals were very friendly, the pub food was very good value for money. The area was not commercialised, the facilities in the village were also very good, and the locals all spoke.
Good value, pleasant staff, facilities satisfactory. Useful mid trip break point. Motorway accessible, quiet area. Good food at reasonable prices.
The overall B&B package was to a really good standard and the evening meals were excellent and very reasonably priced.
Staff were friendly and the food excellent at reasonable prices with a very relaxed atmosphere with the locals.
The hosts very polite and friendly ,breakfast was very good lots of choice and pub meals where very good.
Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely clean room with en suite. Good selection on the menu.
Friendly welcome, very clean and comfortable room, great food and even tastier ale.
Very comfortable bedroom and really good value evening meal. Excellent breakfast.
The location, the very nice and well decorated room and the bathroom.

Lovely friendly welcome and yummy breakfast.
good food and spacious, comfortable room.
Great location in the village, good food.
Friendly staff, generously sized rooms.
Friendly owners and excellent food.
Friendly staff good food.
the lot of the place.
Very friendly.
From arri.
good food.
The staff were friendly, the location was convenient for my course, the
food was fairly priced for ordinary pub grub, there was wifi in the bar,
my room was pleasantly quiet for a room in a pub.
This is a good country pub; it is NOT a hotel. It has everything one should expect of a pub: friendly relaxed welcome and atmosphere, a lively bar, good beer and foood.
good location, good food the
land lord and his partner were good other staff could have been better.
The location was convenient for day trips to various places of interest.
No onsite parking although free parking is available within a few hundred yards and you can park on pavement opposite to unload.
parking on the street.
We were looking forward to the skittle alley which was not available at this time of year which perhaps should be highlighted in their advertisement. The car parking is difficult as you have to just park in the street.
Parking poor but outwith control of the Rose and Crown.
We was sad when it was time to leave,ah well, we now know where to go for our short break.
The weather was so hot ( which we are not complaining about) but it could have done with a fan in the room because at night we had trouble sleeping as it was so warm.
central heating boiler rather noisy during night.
Breakfast from 7am to 9am. Far too early to cease breakfast for anybody looking for a relaxing holiday break.
Pub was quite noisy and bar staff not very welcoming.
We could not make the shower work- could well have been us though!.
parking limited but no major problem.
Parking difficult.
Wifi signal in room was not very good.
No power in shower spray...took ages to warm up.
The en-suite bathroom, particularly the underside of the toilet seat,
was not as clean as it could have been. A more prominent note that wifi
was available, even if only in the bar (in my room would have been far
more convenient).
There was no Wifi in the rooms (this should no be seen as a criticism, it's an old pub).
some staff could do better
the noise after 10.00pm which seemed to have been a family disagrement - Landlord and family. car parking poor.
Not enough staff to cope with evening meals. We waited approx. 2 hours before being served.
The boiler was in our room, which cut in very noisily each time hot water was drawn.
The shower was very inadequate and although this was over the bath, there was not a facility to fill the bath other than from the shower head.
