I didn't stay at Potters in even though I booked a room there as I wasn't going to check in until after 11pm and their check in time finishes at 11pm. I received a phone call to say I could stay at Lakeside Continental Hotel instead.
We liked the whole experience and much admired the general layout. The evening we spent there was notable for the variety of your clientel and we had a wonderful time mixing with all sorts of people.

We liked the surroundings by the Canal & being away from the main building there was less noise. The staff were really friendly & helpful especially the lady who cooks the breakfast.
Lovely atmosphere with open fire place in the bar, very charming staff that made you feel welcome, lots of private parking, over looking a lake & canal, great bed room.
Will go back.

The furniture in the room could do with replacing as it was looking a little bit tired and dated .
bathroom quite small as was handbasin - made shaving a bit of a challenge. The adjacent 'pub' was a bit shambilic, too few staff. breakfast on sunday at 9am only the young cook {from Nepal} was there to sort out our needs. nothing was prepared but with his help we found juice etc. He made some tea and then produced some toast from the kitchen. An establishment with severe staff/management issues.
Lady on reception when we arrived did not pay attention to reception desk and had to be asked to serve us.
Group of drunken Yobs in beer garden and despite numerous complaints
staff did nothing spoiling what would have been an idylic afternoon.
One missing bath towel.
Ordering dinner at the bar would prefer table service.
Being charged £10 per night for parking my van despite there being signs
in the reception bar area that said transit vans free and I have photo
on my phone to prove it.

They could do with putting a curtain over the door and window, it was a bit bright in the morning.

late check in process of getting keys. Information saying no breakfast at weekends then finding it was open! finding lots of faults in room [toilet roll holder broken, 1 light not working, toilet seat falling off].
Heating did not work, too late to do anything about it as did not return
until late, also shower only ran cold, there was no one to report this
to when we left in the morning.
crappy tv reception noise levels from other rooms.
Very poor phone signal. No wi-fi in rooms, so no work done, exceot for one corner of the bar area. My TV could not pick up a signal so I couldn't watch TV in my room. Bar staff could not find a relevant remote control to try and re-programme the TV so I went without!.
I found the booking very confusing and thought we had booked at the
lakeside but after being sent by the receptionist to the duster hotel on
the same site we were told that the hotel we had booked was in Mytchett
not Frimley .. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful at the second
hotel ... I have booked this hotel group before and find it rather
unclear .... it's all a bit down market to be honest.
Shabby room
Staff who declined to serve wine I asked for (from wine list) as they were trying to clear out another wine
When I asked for tea and toast with breakfast I was served tea bag floatingin hot water and one slice of toast on side plate.
Breakfast was poor and you could not pay in advance. Also I could not get a receipt for it.
Mouldy shower sealant; no shelves in shower or bathroom, very old decour, poor quality food, just incredibly dated.
Cold rooms, no wifi, no phones in rooms, not even a hair dryer !!! Noisy above the bar. The 1st room was very cold no central heating only a blower that you couldn't even tell was on. If there you have a problem you have to go over to the pub to notify someone after lugging all my luggage up the outside steps as there are no phones and no signal on mobiles. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
