Wat mensen zeggen
This the second time I was staying in the Lonsdale hotel in London, this time with my family with the small child. And again it was a very good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious to accommodate all of us and our lagguage, it was warm, clean and quiet so we could really have a good rest and sleep. Due to sudden new circumstances we had to extend our stay by one night and it was not at all a problem - the staff was very undestanding and helpful. alle beoordelingen »
quietness at the time I was staying, close to the tube station with good connectivity to other parts of London, overall very good accommodation for the price asked, my room was clean, warm; some staff welcoming, some just normal. I have already arranged a stay in the Lonsdale again and would definitely recommend it to my good friends.
The hotel is close to all main places, Euston 10 mins, Covent Garden 15 mins, Leicester Square 15 mins - very pleasant central location - Russell Square Park at end of road very nice. The staff were friendly and approachable.
It was a very clean, friendly hotel in the centre of London. The staff was nice and helpful, we could left our baggage at the reception before the check-in time. Thank you, Lonsdale Hotel!.
Great helpful staff and 24-hour access. Kept the rooms very clean and neat. Good room service and the desk staff was very helpful.
A nice, clean room with a comfortable bed.
Very convenient location.
Friendly staff.
Very reasonably priced.
Close to train station and shops. Comfortable room in side street so not noisy.
Good location in a quite area, big room and cheap. Nice staff.
Clean room, very friendly staff. Good location.
Location and helpfulness from the staff.
Location and value for Central London.
It's pretty quiet for central london.
Nothing it was a total dump.
Location is perfect.
Cheap.
Location, location, location! Really close to Holborn, Euston, St
Pancras, British Museum, etc. Easy to find on a quiet side street very
close to shops and parks. Receptionist was very cheerful and friendly,
room easy to find and large with windows that open and a huge radiator.
Private shower room.
The hotel is dated and needing a lot of TLC however, this is reflected in the very cheap price for a prime location. From leaving Euston station we walked everywhere without the need for any public transport. I will definitely use it again this time with the kids.
The hotel is well located and the beds were clean. My son and I used it
to stay over in london for one night for a concert. It was fine for this
purpose. It suits young lads on a night out who are on a budget. The
staff were polite and helpful.
This was my second visit and I went back to see if it was actually still as bad as I remembered - it was. The bedbugs seem to have given up on the place as I didn't get bitten this time. Location is absolutely brilliant.
Very, very cheap for where it is located
Very, very well located a short walk from many attractions and tube stations
Friendly staff
Clean sheets and towels
Quiet location
Excellent value for money.
The staff was very friendly, in the beginning we got a terrible room in the basement and lukily we could change that for much better room. And of course the location is excellent!.
You get exactly what you pay Budget hotel provides the essentials and
thats that. Providing breakfasts with charge or offering wifi are not
considered luxuries anymore!!.
Location is perfect. It's a perfect place for "let's
walk around the city and not stay in our room more than we really
have to".
Location - very handy for where I needed to be, and good choice of outside eateries.
only basis that i would stay here again is that it was cheap. location was brilliant.
Basically chosen because of its location, close to places I needed to visit.
I like the location. The receptionists too are good.
Was clean, perfect location very reasonable price.
The staff were friendly and the bedding was clean.
Great central location with parking right outside.
Nice to have clean towels and bedding daily.
Value for money. Very good located.
This place is about location.
location, late check-in.
Location & Price.
Staff were friendly.
Lokation, cheap.
Rooms are clean.
Good location.
room was clean.
Staff good.
Location.
Not a lot! The staff were rude to the guests before us (they were not English. There was a notice that said the hotel took Euros but she refused to take it from them even though they pointed it out). The room did not even have glasses for water let alone tea/coffee making facilities. There was damp on the ceiling and the curtains were hanging off! The toilet in the room was like that of a portaloo, plastic and tiny. The drawer front was hanging off, but apart from that it was handy for the city.
At only 35gbp and only a 2-3 minutes walk from Holborn or Tottenham
Court Rd tube stations, price and location is all the Lonsdale has going
for it. It's good for a cheap place to rest up after a night out in
Central London. I've seen much worse in the City at higher prices.
.close to where I needed to be
.quiet.
.comfy bed (it was new!).
(had I been given this as a place to stay in the suburbs of India I would have accepted the low standard due to the poverty of the country).
Good location, comfort bed, clean tower, however, compare to the price, that's all the pros.
There are many hotels at the same street, you will like to check them before booking at Lonsdale.
- Great location, close to British Museum, Oxford Street etc.
- The room looked very old fashioned and scruffy but it was reasonably clean.
- It was quiet, no shoutings, door-slammings.
To have somewhere to stay the night in a big city at a fair price. It
was very close to the British Museum which was the reason for my trip.
the location is great if you want to be near the british museum and it was easy walking distance to euston and kings cross stations.
There is nothing we did not like.
The only suggestion is that we understand that The Lonsdale Hotel does not provide catering services, but if we may suggest, it would imrove the overall experience if there is some corner/area with plates, cutlery, cups to prepare tea/coffee and some simple refresment, and wash the dishes. Thank you.
there was nothing I did not like.
Unfortunately there was no breakfast but actually the Russell Square Park café was a very pleasant place to go for breakfast so not really that bad. The temperature in the hotel was very warm for me, but that is probably ok for most people.
Room was hot and water was not. Shower and restroom facilities limited.
No internet.
The toilet was down the corridor.
a bit old; it needs improvement.
Small room.
Quality of the rooms, and lack of heating in the room I stayed in.
A little tired looking but for the price and ensure in Central London cannot complain!.
No wi fi.
Everything there was only one toilet for the hole place the walls were moldy and the plaster was falling off and the bed was disgusting I was better off sleeping in Hyde Park.
A bit worn out.
It was all a bit shabby but for the price I paid, that's fair
enough. There was no breakfast on offer as far as I could see and that
would be a problem if families were staying there - it wasn't a
problem for me.
Only one pillow.
This is a very basic hotel, fine for a night or two if you intend to use
it purely for sleeping, but there are no facilities. The tv did not
work, the shower toilet combo was very basic and the furniture old.
The price has gone up, it would be OK for a hotel given the excellent location, but a bit expensive for a doss-house.
Couldn't turn off the radiators, even though it was 20 degrees outside
Tiny en suite cubicles(?).
The toilet was in the hall, the furniture was very old.
These converted victorian buildings (small hotels) are on a time limit.
Investors / hotel owners started eating in to their investments now.
It is time that whole of them renovated to todays standards by perhaps
keeping the history and facades of buildings only! Everything else has
to go and to be rebuilt.
The size of our room, it was really small. Also, I really didn't
like it that one bathroom was out of order and this fact was not
mentioned at any time.
Limited facilities ( no catering ) - but then I should have checked the small print.
the bed was extremely uncomfortable, only had a sheet as a quilt. the room was boiling even thought the radiator wasnt on at any time. the window didnt open fully. the bath had stains on it. dirty towels. the hotel generally was in need of redecorating.
no breakfast facility available in hotel
room needed decorating.
The heater in the rooms were not working effectively. I caught cold on my first night. no heater, no duvet. Also nobody to help in taking your luggage into the room. You also have to beg for soap before it could be provided.
I requested glasses for a drink in the room (was going out for hen night) and they could only supply tea cups.
The room needed updating. There were hot copper pipes running around the room and although the bedding was clean, the room itself wasn't particularly clean. The furniture was in very poor condition.
Room sat on a tilt, beds broke easily, cupboard was falling apart and state of the interior was generally poor.
Tea and coffee facilities in the hotel would make a massive difference.
Stayed in room 15, the two big beds needs to be changed, or have thicker madresses. And their was almost no water in shower and staff could be a little more polite.
room is outdated, almost like patchwork fixed.
Beds uncomfortable, no quilt, pillows poor, stains on walls ceilings.
No tea or coffee-making facility in room, TV didn't work, cheap mattress.
Needs to repair, tight.
Smells bed on the corridor.
No breakfast possible.
proper curtains needed.
Shower door would not fit, back of wardrobe detached, 1 hanger, tiny tv.
It is old and tired and in need of some TLC.
fluorescent light in room 6 didn't work.
Very minimal amenities of course, the shared toiletries were actually in
decent shape. The bed was not comfortable at all, but I didn't
suffer too much. With all that said, still decent value for money.
.sparse & scruffy
.staff were enjoying a take-out pizza in what might have been a dining room (tables & chairs were piled under a white sheet).
.no facilities (at least none pointed out), no kettle in room, nowhere for breakfast.
.TV so small could hardly view it.
."en-suite" fibre glass pod cracked and cigarette burned, loo seat broken.
.at least three light bulbs missing..
The bathroom is too old, it need a really restruct, the room is just as the prospect from price.
Storage luggage at frontdesk cost £10. You may like to ask at letsbookhotel.com and get a discount for this.
- The customer service is not up to high standards. Charged extra 5
pounds for leaving our baggage at the reception for a few more hours
after checking out. The member of staff who worked that morning was
not polite at all, when I asked if I can leave our baggages, he only
answered "5 pounds", no manners, nothing.
- The bathrooms are pretty bad, some showers are without shower-heads, in others the water pressure is extremely low, can't really have a good shower in them.
We had to climb down some stairs which I found awkward. I felt I was in
a cellar. I was cold in bed as there was no blanket only a sheet and
very meagre bedcover. There was no bedside light of any description
which meant stumbling back to bed once the light was off. The room was
very shabby and in need of paint. No way of making tea or coffee. Not
warned in advance what is actually meant by 'Basic'.
the room was a bit dingy, i booked a single room which came with 3 beds and one was rock solid and the double was broken in the middle, for £50 a night i would have expected a nicer room, its also a lot to pay for one night when you cant check in until 3pm but have to leave at 10am.
