  The Cambrian is right in the middle of Llangollen...a 2 min walk from the main street. It has its own secure car park. The owner was helpful and friendly and breakfast was good. OK the decor is a bid dated but NOT tatty/grubby, it's no boutique hotel but that was of no concern to me! The whole place is very clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was lovely and everything you coul possibly want if available There is no doubt that the building needs some attention, but for the cost an location it's well worth a stay.

  We had dinner in the Royal Hotel Restaurant. it was very enjoyable good steak and the wine wasfirst class. - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was a perfect location for our stay. We found our room to be spacious and the view of the river was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

  we are not a fussy couple, we just like value for money and that is what we got,the staff could not have been more helpful, as it was a late booking for our wedding anniversary, and you gave us a family room overlooking the river.as you had no doubles with a river view available.we where married at pistyl falls 4 years ago and we return every year... wat mensen zeggen » to celebrate our wedding,and always stop over in Llangollen the night before, and enjoy the mountain drive through pandy, would we stay at the hand a - My husband and I were going to a funeral the following day and wanted a peaceful place to stay. We found all staff friendly, our room overlooked the river which made our stay tranquil. Nothing was too much for staff. The breakfast was 5 star - excellent, hot, hot, hot.   I can't say enough nice things about this place. I got a virus on my first day so spent more time than intended in the accommodation. Great facillities; lounge with books and games, kitchen with free tea, coffee & condiments as well as space to store own food. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely rooms. And within spitting distance of the main ... wat mensen zeggen » street and river with easy access to other facilities/towns. Genuinely a lovely place to stay. - Great size room, very clean. Kids loved the lounge room with the huge selection of games for them to play. Great to have the use of a very clean , fully equipped kitchen too. Would definitely recommend to others and use again ourselves.

  The hotel was described in it's brochure as 'Luxury on the River Dee'...and it certainly was that! Our room was large, clean and had a balcony with fantastic views overlooking the river. I would definitely recommend booking one of the VIP rooms for the extra £20 or so. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful and ... wat mensen zeggen » I will definitely be coming back! - Family run, extremely nice but not pretentious, rooms very comfortable, the food was excellent, there was a good choice available and portion size was good. Would highly recommend.
