  The halls were in a really nice place - it was quiet enough for a good nights sleep but really close to the tube and all the restaurants and bars in Angel. The staff were nice and the room was clean and sufficient. The bathroom was clean and we didn't have to wait for a shower. The breakfast was great and we were served very quickly. We didn't act... wat mensen zeggen » ually realise that we would be staying in student halls but this was not an issue at all. - The price! It was an amazing price for such a central location in London. The little things too - there was a drinking fountain to fill my water bottle up with, a well equipped kitchen, clean shower/toilet room, lots of wall sockets in helpful places, free wifi, good range of options for breakfast, working lifts, towel supplied. Great area, lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

We are both straight and hadn't realised this was a gay friendly venue, but that made our evening all the more interesting. The drag act was excellent haven't laughed that much in years.   The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both) access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful, including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and next morn... wat mensen zeggen » ing breakfast was outstanding!! Yes I will be back. It was definitely as described and definitely not a flat pack chain hotel room. It's position in w - So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.
