It suited us for a convenient place to stay. as we were attending a funeral at the near cemetery. Good venue for visiting Harrogate & Knaresborough also near York. Excellent meal in the evening. Nice private entrance. Didn't need to go in & out via the restaurant.
Good place to stay but be aware, if coming from the A1 the junction of the roundabout is closed, was sent all over countryside to get to it on the first night.alle beoordelingen »
Loved the location good parking,the bed was really good and I liked being able to come back on the night and enjoy a meal in the pub, the staff where good to.
The location is central to many sights and has a typical 'old English pub' style and atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and the food excellent.
Friendly, good accommodation, very handy for the show ground which was he reason for our visit.

Everything from time we arrived until we departed. The friendly staff, beautiful room and delicious food, we would not hesitate to stay again.
The location was excellent and the staff were wonderful, allowing us to check in 3 hours early as we were at a wedding at nearby Rudding Park.
For us this was a surprise find. Good meals, spacious comfortable room with a very generous bathroom. All ideal for our one stay.

The bath looked like it handn't had a clean before our stay and there could of been more staff on the evening as they seemed a bit stretched at times.

Difficult to get into the flow of traffic because the road is so busy, and a pity the heating was turned of the day before we left; our room and particularly bathroom was very cold for my old bones!.

The walls were a little thin and the hallway was very noisy, felt a bit like people were in your room.
Our room at the back was quiet but just one small opening window made it a bit stuffy.

Inconsistency in room comfort - we stayed twice. One room was everything we could ask for, the other was less comfortable and we slept poorly.
Would have liked a seated area in the bar other than all areas for food.
Rooms could be noisy at times, though this didn't affect my night's sleep.

the sound proofing in the bedrooms is shocking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thot it was just me being an old one but my son and his family had a close by room and the sound in that room was terrible......
Rooms badly needing facelift,few items had to be sorted in room for us.Would not return and would not recommend.

Clip on bedside table not mine, no shampoo or conditioner very standard
breakfast with bog standard bread limp croissants my meal in the evening
was served with a black piece in a carrot no one had bothered to cut it
out it was the first thing that caught my eye as the plate was put in
front of me.
The standard of cleanliness was very poor,I had to persuade my wife that
we stay for the night.The idea that that breakfast was complimentary was
a nonsense, cereal and a toaster which did not work properly,a young
waitress came to our aid then served us with very burnt toast.
