  We wanted a value-for-money place where we could arrive late and this was perfect. We had a double and 2 single rooms (allowing our grown-up sons not to share) for the same price as the budget chains with good facilities. Sleeping in the annex we were able to park outside the rooms. Dining room closed before we arrived, but we were given the numbe... wat mensen zeggen » r of a local pizzeria which would deliver to the hotel - sorted! - Staff really friendly and helpful. Happy to arrange for me to have meals in room due to having my spaniel along, and even supplying a snack for said dog! When I was delayed due to poor weather, staff waited up for my arrival and gave me a lovely warm welcome at the end of a difficult trip. Basically, make me feel as if I'm visiting with friends.

  Isabel and Philip's hospitality was outstanding, we felt so welcome and at home in this very clean and pleasant B&B. The breakfast was outstanding- cooked for us freshly as we wished. The room was fresh, well decorated and pleasant. We chose to stay here rather than in the hotel where the wedding we were going to was being held and were gla... wat mensen zeggen » d we did- a stone's throw away from Gretna's famous church and the main wedding reception venues we had a relatively budget friendly wedding whilst fe - The room & ensuite bathroom (and general surroundings) were clean, the bed was soft & comfortable and it was absolutely roasting in the room when we arrived (never a bad thing!). Both Isabell and Phillip were lovely hosts..they were made for running a B&B. Breakfast was served fresh on our plates each morning. Conveniently located just across the road from Gretna Green station for those using trains, and about a 10 minute walk to the Famous Blacksmith's Shop.
