Fantastic internal decoration. Lovely gardens. Very comfortable. Incredible historic building. Has its own library. Sea veiws. Comfortable room. Like being a guest at a mansion. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free spa facilities. Breakfast was very nice. Cheaper than a Premier Inn and 10 times nicer! Cant wait to go back again. Lovely hotel, beautiful gardens, really friendly helpful staff. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we chose to stay at the Netherwood, would def recommend to others, we even got our own anniversary menu to congratulate us on our anniversary for evening dinner, nice little keepsake!!.

Lovely hotel and great staff. location, food good, public rooms good and very well decorated for Christmas. The location and the grounds of the hotel. Staff. Location was very convenient, garden was lovely when the sun shone. Electric shower in the bathroom was a little noisy. WiFi signal not great, and only in public areas. My room was at the rear and so some noise from the rear with bottles from the bar/kitchen. The rooms are starting to look a little tired and the steam room and hot tub weren't up to much. Plus, you have to book a slot to go to the spa which is bizarre. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom needed updating in the room. The standard sized double bed, for a hotel of this quality kingsize beds would afford the comfort one would expect. Woken up by tv in the next room in the morning!!!. Our room was some distance from the actual hotel, drink prices were high. The massage room was very nice although the gym noise spoiled the whole idea of relaxation despite the massous's best efforts. Dinner price, Staff. Beware the annex - there are four awful rooms out back, without wifi and it's a prefab horrible building - make sure you request not to be put in these rooms!. bed and pillows far too hard. bed rooms could do with updating. parking difficult. The decor was very dated in the bedroom. The hair dryer did not work. The toilet seat needed replacing. It didnt matter where you walked, the floorboards all creaked. Our room was on the top floor of the hotel with no lift access to that floor and we had a baby with us. We ordered room service and had to go and get our own cutlery. The final bill had to be questioned as they had charged us for evening meals and bar drinks that we had not had. Unable to take breakfast as service started far too late to be viable for work. No reception staff past 10pm. Rooms are clean but a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Gym too packed and closeted to be able to use effectively. the hotel looks very tired and run down, in need of decoration. TV did not work and when fixed very poor reception. Wi-fi very limited and not good when connected. Food satisfactory. Old fashioned and expensive for what it was, needs updating, whilst clean the rooms were very tired with water marks on the walls and the furniture very old and run down. Disappointing.
