Abbey Cottage was one of the best B&Bs I ever stayed in (if not the best). The room was small but cozy, the bed comfy, room clean, tidy and well equipped, breakfast excellent and the staff so fantastic I was actually sorry to leave not only because of the amazing surroundings but also because staying there was so nice and relaxing.
I hesitate to mention it was also amazing value for money to avoid the impression it could be any better at a higher price point -- that's probably the best plac. alle beoordelingen »
Friendly and accommodating welcome. The normal booking in time was post 4:00pm. We needed to have a room to change clothing at 12:00 noon. The rooms are modern and well fitted. I liked the proper wine glass (not plastic) and cork screw. The bathroom was spotless, with a great walk-in shower. Comfortable bed, and well cooked breakfast. There were 'special' breakfast options available. All in all, a really pleasant stay and good value for money.
The location is fantastic realy in the centre of Fort Augustus Village. Facillities nearby the cottage, with restaurants wwhere I est the best beef stake of my life!!! The owner of Abbey Cottage was very polite and helpful, and breakfast was simply great! If I'm aroud agains this will be my staying for sure. I seriously recomend this B&B to all. My freinds wil know it right away!.
I had a single ensuite room. It was modern and up to date with design, decore, and bathroom facilities. It located only a few steps from the canal and amenities of Fort Augustus. It is a great location to explore the highlands from. You have choice for cooked to order breakfast, from omlettes to full Scottish, to specials like waffles or pancakes and theyare sumptuous.
Breakfast is various (there is a menu like in a restaurant), delicious and specifically cooked for every customer by a very kind staff. The furniture is new, pleasant and clean, and the location of the b&b is really perfect to visit the Island of Skye, Lochness, Ben Nevis, Glencoe and Inverness.
Excellent B&B, very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Very clean and well equipped. Next to the canal and locks, a good selection of places to eat are virtually across the road. Good parking and great location for the Loch Ness and surrounding area.
We stayed here just for a night but this has to be one of the loveliest B&B's that we have stayed at. Very nice room, clean, warm, delicious breakfast and the man was friendly without being overly so. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Jason was super friendly and helpful and very easy to have a chat to.
The cottage itself is in a super location- is pristine and amazing value for money- would stay there again in a heartbeat!.
Warm welcome, the room and the bathroom were extremely clean, the breakfast menu had 5 different hot meal options over standard cereal/fruits/toast. No negative feedback at all, anytime again!.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was terrific and
extremely clean and the food superb. This was really a great stay.
Highly, highly recommend. About 20 yards from Loch Ness.

My room could have been warmer, but that was no reflection on it's comfort. It was very well appointed and very clean.
Nothing I didn't like.
Heating in the rooms at night insufficient,.
Nothing to dislike.
room little bit to small.

Small room.
The unique point that wasn't great is the temperature in the room a bit cold but it also was very cold outside may be that was the reason.
Nothing.
Nothing.
The room was cold. Not enough ventilation in bathroom. Had a
shower at night and again in the morning towel was still wet.Travelled around Scotland for 10days stayed in 5 different b&bs all similar prices and this was the least value for money. Would not stay here again.
