  Excellent breakfast, fresh coffee and a range of breakfast choices. Fresh flowers on the tables and the breakfast room looked over a charming garden. Our bed was large and comfortable, the en suite had a brilliant shower with The White Company toiletries. Bowness on Windermere is delightful and has a good selection of restaurants a twenty minute walk from Storrs Gatehouse. Need to take a torch - We loved this b & B. This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!

  Beautiful location with excellent views over Esthwaite Water and Beatrix Potter's Hill Top Farm 200m up the road. Spacious and comfortable rooms, with ground floor rooms available for those with limited mobility. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, including freshly squeezed orange juice. Views from the breakfast room were... wat mensen zeggen » superb. Fresh milk available on request and a decanter of sherry available in the rooms. Good pub up the road. Staff were friendly and helpful. - Gorgeous views of the hills and water from our room. Hot showers, cozy bed, great WIFI, quiet and restful, close to Near Sawrey, Beatrix Potter and the Tower Arms pub. Host was gracious, accommodating, witty and helpful. Dinner was excellent; breakfast beautifully prepared. The croissants were the best ever.
