My boyfriend and I both stayed at Jackie's B&B whilst cycling from Edinburgh to Glasgow. We could not have asked for a warmer response, she kindly dried our wet clothes for us as we were soaked through after an extremely wet day of cycling!!The small touches she added to the room made the stay just like home but better!! Her facilities are so quaint and clean, we could not have asked for more. The breakfast selection, set us up perfectly for the next day of cycling and a visit from her hors. alle beoordelingen »
We went to this beautifully converted barn because we wanted to visit the Falkirk Wheel which was about a 10 minute drive away and well worth the visit. The hotel was ideally situated between city and mountains (Edinburgh and the Trossachs). The views across the countryside from the hotel were lovely.Jackie, our hostess, was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There's a large lounge with TV and tea and coffee facilities which we found useful after a d.
Very friendly welcome for two mums cycling along the Union canal towpath towards the Falkirk Wheel with two 12/13 year old children. Relaxing glass of wine and comfy sofas for the saddle-sore as well as really comfortable beds. Lovely atmosphere in a tastefully renovated steading of a working farm located only a short distance down a B road from the canal towpath.
Delicious breakfast the following morning set us up for the day.
Warm friendly welcome, beautiful building, well furnished to high standard. Room excellent size with comfortable chairs and bed, fresh milk for tea and coffee along with homemade shortbread. Personal service, shown to room and helped with luggage (very unusual in most modern hotels). Fab shower, so powerful. Excellent views over the farm. Wonderful - definately recommend for anyone staying in the Falkirk area.
Liked the welcome from the owner. Very pleasant manner and very personal. We were showed round the house and shown to our room. Room was fabulous with lovely views of the fields. Spotlessly clean, lovely large shower. Bed very comfy. Tea, biscuits (homemade shortbread), coffee all supplied. Lovely place, highly recommended. No faults what so ever.

We had and a very nice time at Lismore house. The warm welcome, the tasty unexpected snacks in the room, the clean and tidy house, the amazing freshly prepared breakfast and the comfortable bed - it was all just perfect.
