Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic town of Eyam, YHA Eyam is set in a Victorian house and offers home-cooked meals, free on-site parking and a games room. The hostel is within the Peak District National Park, meaning there are many activities on offer in the local area, such as hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing.
A self-catering kitchen, TV lounge and licensed restaurant are available for guests at YHA Eyam to use. Some rooms come with a private bathroom, but most have shared facilities.
The stately home of Chatsworth House can be reached in just under an hour using local buses, which can be caught 2 minutes’ walk from the hostel. The medieval manor house of Haddon Hall is only 8 miles away, and is surrounded by Elizabethan gardens.

The great location, quiet and within easy reach of lots of great walks and even better tea rooms.
Food (evening meal) was like good school dinner- not fancy but good helpings and tasty. Breakfast was very good- as good as any hotel chain.
Loved the location (despite having to haul luggage up the hill). Was
pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Karen, the receptionist,
was absolutely wonderful and so most helpful. She even lent us her
personal maps!. alle beoordelingen »
Staff was wonderfully helpful, knowledgeable. Food was surprisingly good. Good traditional ales available. Only downside is distance from the village and difficulty getting anywhere without a car.
Very comfortable accommodation. Great location. Friendly and helpful manager on site. Sufficient room for privacy. Clean showers and toilets. No waiting for showers, Clean bedrooms.
Excellent location and friendly staff - great breakfast and good value
for money - one of the higher quality YHAs we've stayed in.

Fantastic welcome, lovely food and a brilliant location.
Basically everything.
fantastic location.
Excellent location great for a young family wanting to get putdoors and explore.
location.
Nice building and lovely location and spacious garden with picnic tables. Plenty of parking.
Sharing malodorous loos. Shower curtain too short and bath mat mouldy however you can't have everything for a double room at £36 per night!.
The pillows could have been a bit fluffier for comfort. Everything else
was wonderful.
No hot water in the member's kitchen.
rooms are very small
would like a kettle in kitchen rather than going all the way to the kitchen for hot water.
The bunk beds were creaky (noisy not flimsy) and the mattresses uncomfortable.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Beds noisy and uncomfortable.
Booking process did not seem very good. Issue between vendor website and YHA.
Rooms, toilets and beds quite small, and mattresses old.
You might need a car, is a bit far from town and steep way to get by foot if carrying much stuff.
Recepcionist could be more prepared to deal with reservations, maybe substituting ?.
