  Well what can I say? I am truly sceptical of reading other people's reviews as you simply just don't know what you will get until you get there but this place is simply paradise! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and warmly greeted by both Jolyon and Laurence who made us feel relaxed and at home. The house itself is absolutely stunning, it is clear to see much time, effort and love has gone into making this - This place is amazing! We were made to feel very welcome by Jolyon and Lawrence. The house and grounds are designed impeccably, with a beautiful garden/terrace space and lounge for relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable and stylish, with stunning duel aspect views of the countryside. The breakfast was divine with homemade bread and fresh produce. We loved the pets too, great dog friendly place to stay!

  The staff were excellent - really friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was superb; tasty, well prepared and presented and filling without being too much and a with a good and varied menu. The selection of drinks was huge, and the Snug was a great place to sit out of the bar after dinner. The location was also great - - Everything! Passionate staff, gloriously quirky rooms and design, great food and comfort: I thought this place looked great when I booked it on the website, but it exceeded my expectations on arrival. It's the vibrant heart of its community and the value for money is exceptional- the breakfasts,like everything else about The Bell, are excellent. If anything, I was surprised only by the 8.9 rating on the website-this place was named in The Times on the very weekend I stayed
