  Overall very good, enjoyed our two night stay there with our son and his friend, 19 and 20 years. We were in Dunoon to do activiities ie, speed boat one day and quadbiking. Ideal base, the hotels own menu very reasonable, only used it one night and were very happy. Would recommend this hotel and would do again. lovely sea views for us. - The staff member we met was friendly, the food was lovely and great sized portions; we had booked for my partners birthday and the hotel had given us a free bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday. It was in a cooler in the room when we arrived, all in all it was an excellent hotel and night away.

  We booked 3 rooms at the last minute and did not notice that the rooms were not en-suite. We were concerned as we had an 80 year old solo lady in our party but everything was fine. Nice clean guest house and very nice owners. Good Scottish breakfast to send us on our way. - Stayed in two separate rooms with adult son .Accommodation budget but... wat mensen zeggen » clean and comfortable enough. Amazingly good quality breakfast and friendly owners. Price very reasonable. Suits an overnight or short stay.

  lovely hotel and clean and well kept gardens to the front, easy access to promenade along front, staff very helpfull and friendly, food very good, nice veiws, a short drive from glasgow and 20 min ferry ride gets you there, if you are looking for beautiful scenic drives,walking or island hopping then dunoon will do you well - We loved the setting... wat mensen zeggen » , the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the 'cheesy' but enjoyable and fun Scotland night, the welcoming, friendly and efficient staff, the food and the price/costs. Overall, we were very impressed and quite surprised with the quality of everything.

  Christine and Colin go out of their way to make all their guests feel welcome,they make the effort to learn names and use them. Nothing is too much trouble,their hotel is maintained to a very high standard and the food is at least equal to any 4* hotel. The room was beautiful and very big comfy clean crisp bed. Food was excellent. An overall quiet relaxing weekend with great accomodation. We would recommend anyone to go there.

  This is the second time I have stayed at the Selborne Hotel, this time with elderly mum (last time as a lone traveller). Once again I would like to thank the manager and staff for their friendliness and courtesy. We asked for a few specific requests to aid mum's requirements too and the hotel assisted in every way. As for the hotel's view of the bay, it is second to none - Great location, great view (worth the extra for a sea view). The room was spotless, nicely decorated and well presented, as was the en-suite bathroom. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, though we didn't test how flexible the options were. We preferred to eat out in the evenings rather than brave the busy dining room. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Wifi was available in our room, possibly because we were very close to reception.
