I was pleasantly surprised. Perfectly suitable for an inexpensive stay. I am in the construction industry and just need somewhere to sleep when I cannot drive home but Metro Inns offer more than that. I will be using Metro again very soon. I rated 'fair' for facilities simply because Metro does not offer what most people would consider facilities, however for me a nice room, with a microwave and a fridge were facilities enough for what I paid. alle beoordelingen »
The rooms have plenty of space, they are clean and tidy, good to find a microwave and a good size TV (not like those other budget hotels with they 20inch tvs) Not a 4star but a very, very good budget hotel. I foubd all the staff very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble, we would stay there again.
The rooms very big, clean and comfortable. It was very affordable, we paid £30 for a double room. It is right by the A1 highway, but it was very quiet. There was a small incident as the boiler broke down before we got there, they offered us a discount, and access to another room with shower. Highly recommended.
The staff was extremely helpful. The internet in my room wasnt working
and the friendly receptionist went out of his way to resolve this and
eventually I got moved to a different room. Also liked the fact that
there is a microwave in the room.
It was a very convenient and easy to find stopover to break my trip north to south.
Price was a major factor - very reasonable for a clean, comfortable room with a massive flat screen tv, tea/coffee-making equipment and microwave!.
No problem with parking. The staff was very cheerful and friendly and welcoming, just what you need when you have been on the road for a few hours. Also reception staff was very helpful when phoned to ask directions.
Price was good, clean rooms, Really friendly manager who kindly without
asking cleared the snow off our car the next day, plus booked us into a
resturant close by which was fantastic to eat at.

The view to the A1 isn't the most beautiful in the world but it is set far enough back from the busy A1 that it isn't noisy at all!.
The inn was exceedingly clean and the bedding amazing. It was very quiet. Loved fact had a microwave and fridge would be fabulous if staying a little longer.
Made myself and my dog very welcome, very helpful staff, even cleared my car of snow. Big TV, free wifi in the room & ethernet cable for good measure.

That I can take my dogs for what is a lot smaller fee than other hotels
charge and that there is no fuss.
The location was near to our destination for the wedding we were
attending. Also the value for money.
Very clean place, fridge and microwave you don't find those in other
hotels. Good for family.

The shallow bath was disappointing but that is probably all about cost I should imagine.
Bit dated on the outside but nice inside.
No dinner options available on site, you need to drive to the nearest
village to get food.
Everything was fine and exactly what I expected for the price.
Nothing that we do not like, just more info needed, e.g. the Inn is exactly behind the Shell petrol station and that it is ON the A1 southbound road and one has to drive up to the roundabout to come down again. This is not a problem but just needs clarification. For southbound traffic, this info about it located just behind the Shell petrol station is also helpful.
Also it would help to include info that there is a restaurant on site and it gives you discount if you stay at the Inn.
You cannot complain for the price I paid for two. Very impressed and
would stay again.
Not the hotels fault but someone should open a small restaurant or eater to cater for visitors. The hotel is in a bit of an oasis.
We could not get the heat right on the shower.
Location difficult to get to from the other side of the A1 where the wedding we were attending was being held.
No bin outside to put dog poo bags in.
I think they were having issues with the boiler (it looked like a temp outside my bedroom window).
I would like access to the large grassy area at the back of the hotel
for my dogs.
Being charged a three pound initial credit card charge when booking
online. Then being charged the full room amount on check in.
I wish there was a shorter way of getting there from Motorway.
Location was poor, on the night I stayed the a1 was shut for roadwork
repairs and we had to drive around for 45 minutes to find a route to get
to the hotel I covered 27 miles extra to get to it.

Advertised as free wifi. This is only available in the very small

for pc in rooms, but this did not work. Room was so hot and the windows

The Hotel was just too far away to Wetherby where we were visiting.
We booked a wheelchair friendly room which they confirmed by telephone. However, when we got there, bath too deep to get into, floor slippery when wet, no plug for hand basin and lavatory wouldn't clear!.
Poor shower,toilet didn't flush properly,too much interference on tv.
