Coniston is a lovely location, the staff at the Crown Inn always make visitors very welcome, and the food is great. - The quality of food and relaxing atmosphere after a stiff days walk.   The breakfast was excellent. The view from the breakfast room was beautiful. It was a lovely, quite location. The owners were very friendly. Doggies were adorable. - friendly and helpful, great breakfast, made our stay easy and allowed dogs, and were lovely towards mine. thank you

  Excellent location with fabulous views of the surrounding fells and The Old Man of Coniston from our room No.1 The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs which included making up a packed lunch for a day walking in the surrounding fells. Would definitely stay here again - waking up to a fabulous view of the mountains from our bed ... wat mensen zeggen » in room 1, priceless. - Friendly welcome from the owner and a lovely room to spend the 3 nights that I did. Good, hearty breakfasts to set you up for a day on the fells - so much so I didnt need anything else until the evening. Parking is easy (midweek admittedly) and free on the road opposite. Good location with all amenities - and pubs - within easy reach.

The food laid on was excellent couldn't ask for more. - Lovely little youth hostel up the side of a mountain. Brilliant and helpful staff. Home cooked meals. Exceptional value for money.
