was on familiar territory and was convenient for my purposes. music on the saturday night great and friendly hotel. friendliness and relaxed manner. Good service. Food and Restaurant service. cheap clean convenient. the people. I was on business and it was very conveniently located to where I needed to be. The breakfast was great!. The friendliness of the staff. Relaxed atmosphere.the breakfast,the selection was great. the haggis. nothing at all. Food. The rooms could have been serviced better - i.e. the beds were not made properly and the carpet wasn't cleaned during our stay of four nights. This matter was brought to the attention of the staff concerned. Rather dated furnishings etc. Not a very exciting hotel.the room had not been cleaned for ages and it was unsatisfactory,had to move me to another which had been cleaned. the breakfast was appauling,we would have liked a nice hot fried breakfast the scrambled eggs were full of shell and green/grey in colour..the general experience. We stayed at the hotel many years ago and were very disappointed at how far downhill it has gone.
