  I stayed there the night before taking an early morning flight from Stansted and the night after I arrived back in Stansted after midnight. I appreciated being able to leave very early and arrive very late. Upon my return, I had more time in the morning before catching a train back to my home in England and enjoyed the breakfast.   We were on a National Trust property tour and this was an ideal stop off point to visit three in that area. Very friendly helpful staff. Very pleasant chalet type rooms. Super food and beer! Also close to visit Cambridge. This girl goes out of her way to make sure your guests are well taken care of and I say that not just from how she helped me but I saw her helping other guests. My son enjoyed it a lot and considered it as one of his best hotel expereinces. It was mention that the car parking is for £8/day but it was for free :) !! Thanks.

  The Waterman is a very pleasant place to stay if you're an easy-going person: it's clean and comfortable, but the bathroom's shared so you have to be OK with possibly waiting for the shower and the toilet. It's 10 minutes walk from the centre. - Nice and very helpful staff, ready to make small, but significant favours (like offering an extra duvet or calling a taxi on a foggy early morning) when it matters the most. Clean premises, comfy bed, clean linens and towels. Rather small rooms, but intelligently arranged. A thumbs-up for the simple, but tasty breakfast (oh, les croissants! :)). A 10 minutes' walk to the city centre. Great!

  We had a really good stay for the folk festival. The rooms were lovely, the beds super comfortable and the cooked breakfast definitely the spot in the morning. We would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay a bit further out from the city center.
